Zildjian

collapse expand iconDescription

The 23" Zildjian K Sweet Ride cymbal unleashes a sea of rich, shimmering overtones perfect for drummers chasing an emotive, expressive sound. Forged from Zildjian's legendary B20 bronze, this hand-hammered beauty sings with dark, smoky undertones and a velvety sustain. Its medium-thin weight and traditional lathing techniques endow the K Sweet Ride with a pliable, responsive feel that shapes to your playing. An articulated bell cuts through the mix with clarity while the bow delivers a wash of harmonically complex overtones. For rock, jazz or symphonic genres, the K Sweet Ride brings a lush musicality to your kit.

Vintage-Inspired Hammering

Zildjian has been handcrafting cymbals since 1623, and their time-honored techniques shine through in the K Sweet Ride. Traditional hammering gives this ride a dark, shimmering spread of overtones with a hint of trashiness reminiscent of vintage cymbals. The hammered surface also allows the K Sweet Ride to open up dynamically under the stick, giving drummers an expressive instrument that colors outside the lines.

Articulate Bell, Velvet Wash

A focused, penetrating bell provides cutting definition for intricate rhythmic work or melodic rides. The medium-thin weight and broad, unlathed bow deliver a wash of smoky overtones with a long, velvety sustain. Drummers can coax a range of timbres from crashing thunder to a hushed whisper. With a pliable, responsive feel, the K Sweet Ride takes on the character of your playing.

Versatile Musical Voice

Equally at home in rock, jazz, orchestral or world music settings, the K Sweet Ride brings a lush musicality to any drum kit. Its rich spread of harmonically complex overtones allows drummers to craft emotive sounds and connect on a deeper level. Paired with crisp, articulate stick definition, the K Sweet Ride fuses power and nuance in a single cymbal. The K Sweet Ride gives drummers a versatile, soulful voice.
