Overview

Fender is guided by one clear, simple directive: make life better for musicians. While the original Telecaster certainly did that (and then some), we weren’t content to rest on our laurels. Our team of mad scientists examined every component in near-microscopic detail. If we were able to improve it with a new design or modern materials we did; if it didn’t need improvement, we left it alone. When the wood chips and solder fumes settled, what was left was the American Professional Telecaster—everything you need to play your best.  Now for a limited time available with an all rosewood neck.

Couldn't be more satisfied with my investment

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Professional Telecaster with Rosewood Neck:

Picked this guy up right after they hit the stores. I was originally looking for the limited rosewood American standard but once I heard and felt this one I couldn't put it down. It's a definite upgrade from the standard. The new neck shape is really nice and I absolutely love the deep frets! We strung it with 11's to give it a heavier gauge and it's almost like playing an acoustic! I was a little disappointed not to get the belly cut of the standard but Indont know that I would have noticed it much anyway. I purchased the Fender locking tuners the next day and can't wait to put them on when this set of strings wears out. I wasn't 100% crazy about the vintage style bridge at first because of the brass barrels but they quickly grew on me the more I played and listened to it. This is a fine instrument the plays and feels way more expensive than it really is. The wood grain in the head stock absolutely took my breath away... Every neck is different so I recommend shopping around a couple of stores to find the look that best suits you. Love it!

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Professional Telecaster with Rosewood Neck:

Overall I was very impressed with this guitar. Fit and finish were excellent. Played great right out of the box. The only thing that had to be done was I had to tighten the tuner pegs a little when I put new strings on it. The look, sound and feel of this guitar is excellent.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Professional Telecaster with Rosewood Neck:

I've been playing for 30 years and have had a lot of guitars. Since getting this telecaster a couple of months ago I don't play any of my other guitars. It has a fantastic feeling and playing neck and the new frets on the American professional model makes it super easy to play. The ONLY complaint that I have is that Fender did an engraved logo on the headstock and unless you are 2 inches from the headstock you cannot see the Fender logo. It's not a major deal but I am proud that it's a real genuine Fender guitar and not being able to see the logo makes it look like a run of the mill no-named knock off like a warmoth or any number of other copies. I really wish Fender had made the logo more visible. Other than that this guitar is hands down my favorite. I have had two different sets of strings on it so far and the newest strings I put on were the pure nickel wound. The pure nickel wounds made it sound so much more like a traditional tele. I bought it from Guitar Center in Waco, Texas. Not sure how to get the certified reviewer badge on this review but that's where I bought it. Also, I want to add that I have been to a lot of Guitar Center stores and the courtesy and level of customer service there at the Waco store has been the best I have ever received. I plan on purchasing my gear there from now on.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Professional Telecaster with Rosewood Neck:

I have been playing Telecasters since 1 was 14 years old and I'm 54 now, so fair to say I know good the good ones when I play them. From the moment I picked it up at my local Guitar Center (Merrillville Indiana), I began devising ways to get it home. Not only is the rosewood neck beautiful, it feels amazing too. It is perfectly smooth and well shaped, just thick enough with slightly rolled edges that make it feel like an old friend. I would have bought it on feel alone, but was also floored with the tone. Played unplugged it has a very compressed character with far more sustain than any of my other Teles. The best way to describe it is that the tone and vibration reminds me of the way a guitar sounds and feels when using a capo. The acoustic properties are not lost when plugged in either. The bridge pick up is amazing as is wiring that keeps the basic tone intact as you dial down the volume. The neck and middle positions are great too and are certainly the most usable of any I have ever experienced or owned. It is a great sounding instrument. I should also mention that the alder body seems to be a particularly light one which always helps things sonically. Lastly the light green finish, which is polyurethane, is very appealing and seems to have been applied nice and thinly. The only reason I gave this beauty 4 stars instead of 5 was because I would prefer a nitrocellulose finish, but it definitely isn't enough of a negative to ever make me want to get rid of this exceptional guitar.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Professional Telecaster with Rosewood Neck:

Playing for over 40 years, I've gone through a lot of guitars. One I've always regretted selling was an original Jeff Beck Strat (with the baseball neck). I have been searching for a worthy replacement ever since and I finally found it in this tele. The neck is absolutely amazing and is the closest I have found to that JB in feel. Perfect fit & finish, and I love these new frets as well. Fender really hit it out of the park with these. The one thing I will say is to try as many as you can find before buying because each neck is a little different. I spent a day driving around to various GCs to play them all, but when I played this particular guitar I instantly knew it was the one. Couldn't be happier. Thank you Fender & GC!

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Professional Telecaster with Rosewood Neck:

I'll give you an idea, I have played an Eric Johnson strat for years and I don't care what anyone says that thing smokes other guitars and just eats other strats alive. I bought it in 05 and have played the frets flat and worn the board I love it so much. (buy one.)That being said I have been very spoiled and gained quite a demanding taste but also found myself needing a second guitar. Now I sketched out a few customs, eyed up everything I could find and combed the web and was ready to give up on nailing it. The hot shot gold top Gibson Les Paul didn't even do it for me which left me sad. Then my lovely gal spotted the color on this which is when I noticed that sweet sweet neck. Woowee! I don't think I'll ever get rid of this guitar. It was like shaking hands with an old friend. I can't imagine better feel than this. The thing just rings in your chest it's amazing. Quarter sawn maple necks are hard to beat but solid rosewood is not a joke. Try it and you'll end up like the rest of us raving on these reviews.

Swapped a defective rosewood neck Stratocaster for this Tele and so glad I did. Both guitars are equally beautiful but the Strat was too trebly, the Tele has great tone and feel. The rosewood neck is smooth and gorgeous.

I picked one of these last week, and already it's one of my favorites. Besides being a beautiful, the neck is perfect. The tone as well as the shape of the neck is second to none. I was about to give up on Fender, but with this guitar Fender really hit the mark. Thanks!

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Professional Telecaster with Rosewood Neck:

I couldn't have asked for more with this guitar. I have been playing since I was a kid, and I wanted to get my hands on a guitar that would serve as a "Swiss Army Knife" that could effortlessly be used across the gamut of musical styles. I have researched guitars extensively, and what it came down to for me was this guitar OR an entry level Gibson Les Paul. I couldn't be happier with my decision. Rather than get that entry level Gibson, I purchased one of the nicest Fender guitars I have ever had the privilege of playing. The neck is beautiful and slightly beefier than a standard telecaster at the higher frets. The pickups sound fantastic (I did side by side comparisons with standard American tele) and the all rosewood neck seals the deal. Every one of my friends plays a telecaster, and they have all agreed that they would upgrade to this model in a heart beat. You will not be disappointed. It is gorgeous, sounds amazing, and it can play everything from country to metal. I couldn't be happier. THANK YOU FENDER!

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Professional Telecaster with Rosewood Neck:

The Sea foam green with the contrasting Rosewood neck attracted me to this guitar. Every time I passed by Guitar Center I stopped by to look at it. I am not a fender guy, but this guitar felt like I was cheating on my Gibson Les Paul. I went back to Guitar Center and was informed that they where sold out. So I went to another location and tried two identical models, one had fret sprout, and the other had a lighter colored neck. I bargained with the manager to have the Tech file the frets on the darker one for free. Now it's PERFECT. This guitar compliments my Gibson and I would never have thought I would purchase an Fender, much less lay down so much for an American Professional. Its clear as a bell and with a little overdrive and reverb, I'm in heaven. It's a keeper that almost got away. Can't wait until it starts to show some age.
