Fender Custom Shop Limited-Edition Rosewood Thinline Telecaster With Closet Classic Hardware Electric Guitar Natural

Description
The Fender Custom Shop limited-edition rosewood Telecaster Thinline Closet Classic puts a unique spin on the classic Tele design. This special model features a beautiful rosewood body and neck for a stylish, upscale look. Despite its vintage vibe, the Closet Classic Tele brings modern upgrades like a comfortable 9.5" fingerboard radius and narrow nut width for smooth, fast playing. The semi-hollowbody provides balanced resonance without sacrificing the snap and twang Telecaster guitars are known for. Equipped with two custom Fender Texas Special single-coil pickups, this Tele can go from sparkling cleans to gritty overdrive tones at the twist of the volume knob. The chrome hardware adds flash that will make this limited-edition Tele really stand out on stage. For guitarists who want the vintage vibe of a classic Telecaster paired with modern playability, the limited-edition Fender Custom Shop Rosewood Telecaster Thinline Closet Classic is a stylish, upgraded take on a timeless design.
Unique Rosewood Body and Neck Offer Upscale Looks
While Telecasters have traditionally featured ash or alder bodies, this Limited-edition Closet Classic Tele gets a sophisticated upgrade with a beautiful rosewood body and neck. The rich brown hue and distinctive grain patterns of the rosewood give this Telecaster an elegant, upscale appearance that provides visual flair on stage. The semi-hollow thinline body retains the snap and twang of a classic Tele, with added resonance and sustain from the center block running through the body. The Closet Classic Tele's rosewood fingerboard contributes to the unique look, while also providing a smooth, comfortable playing feel.
Modern Playability With a 9.5"" Radius and Narrow Nut
Despite its vintage design cues, the Limited-edition Rosewood Thinline Telecaster doesn't sacrifice playability. It features a comfortable 9.5"" fingerboard radius for smooth, low-action playing across the entire neck. The nut width measures 1-5/8"", narrower than a vintage spec to facilitate quick chord changes and single-note runs. The medium jumbo frets are neatly finished for speed and accuracy. Whether you prefer to play blues, country, rock or jazz, this Tele offers a fast, slick playing feel you'd expect from a modern guitar.
Texas Special Pickups Provide Versatile Tones
For pickups, the Closet Classic Tele uses custom-designed Texas Special single-coils with Alnico 5 magnets. The bridge pickup provides the biting twang and crystalline highs Teles are revered for, while the neck pickup warms up the tone with fatter midrange. From shimmering cleans to gnarly overdrive, this Tele is equipped for versatile tones that fit any genre. The three-way pickup selector switch lets you go from the bridge pickup to neck pickup to both pickups together. Master volume and tone controls offer further tonal shaping.
Eye-Catching Chrome Hardware
This special-edition Telecaster features chrome hardware appointments for a striking visual look. The chrome control knobs, pickup covers, switch tip, bridge, tuners and strap buttons shine under stage lighting. For guitarists seeking an instrument that will draw attention, the chrome hardware is an eye-catching accent. Despite its flash, the hardware is road-tested and built to last.

Is the rosewood body a pancake body? Or on solid piece of rosewood
I’m sorry, I don’t know that expression. If a guitar was only piece of wood it would a "carved" body. This is a thin line. It is not solid or carved out of one piece.submitted9 months ago

What is the weight of this guitar without a case, please?
All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. I'm sorry but I don't have one to weigh. This will be approximately 7.0 – 8.0 lbssubmitted2 years ago

The rosewood build already creates a warmer and less twangy tone. How far away from the classic Telecaster sound does the rosewood plus semi-hollow build bring this instrument?
Not that much more. It's still a Tele.submitted2 years ago
