My Broadway is well built and very playable as delivered. Fit and finish were very good with no fret sprout or high frets. As with any new guitar purchase I always do a complete set-up to my personal specs including polishing frets and correct the nut as needed. This made a good guitar even better. The neck pickup is not as full or round sounding as I would like. Adjusting your amp helps some. Also I have found that there is not a lot of variance in tone when picking between closer to neck or saddle like some guitars. The Epiphone Joe Pass has more tones available to your picking. Overall it was a good purchase and I would recommend it if you are looking to try a 17 inch archtop. For me a 17 inch is very comfortable. Just don't expect it to be an L5.
