The Zoom Q2n-4K Handy Video Recorder offers musicians and content creators an all-in-one 4K camera solution for flawless footage on the go. Ultra HD 4K Video and Premium Audio

The Q2n-4K records stunning 4K video with four times the resolution of full HD. Its high-performance CMOS sensor and wide-angle lens capture your performance, rehearsal or lesson in cinematic quality. For audio, it utilizes an X/Y microphone configuration to record high-definition stereo sound with optimal balance and realism. The Q2n-4K also features a headphone jack for monitoring and an HDMI output to view your footage on an external display.

Versatile Zooming and Useful Features

The Q2n-4K offers up to 8x zoom to capture both wide and tight shots with a single camera. Use the smooth optical zoom to subtly reframe a shot or quickly zoom in on details. For additional functionality, the Q2n-4K provides useful tools like time-lapse recording, multi-view recording where you can capture separate front and back camera feeds, and pre-record which starts recording footage 1 to 5 seconds before you hit the record button. The Q2n-4K runs on rechargeable batteries for 2.5 to 3 hours of recording and less than 2 hours to fully recharge.

Rugged, Compact Design

Couple betterments I would like, but recommend to All

The product does as it says...good quality video, sound is great even in concert and loud environment and is compact. The downside is 1. the screen on the back is soo small, yo can't see anything. It's a compact package, but would have preferred a larger unit that did the same thing with a much larger screen. and 2. In 4k mode, it's pretty useless. I mean it works. You have to have the right Class 10 memory and such, but 4k is a resources hog causing large files and that are hard to manipulate and single raw .MOV songs can be 1GB and also drain the battery with the processors gong crazy. For these reasons, I give it a solid 4 of 5, but cant go over 5. At this price point and regardless, would endorse anyone that wants to record live to purchase one.

It's not as good as advertised. But it gets the job done.

I was hoping to use this to post performance videos on YouTube, but the video quality is so grainy it's almost embarrassing. It pales compared to most videos you could capture with your phone. The audio quality however is much better than you would normally get from a phone. I guess for the price point I can't complain too much, but it did not meet my expectations after seeing all the product descriptions for this. It does work well for helping me to critique my own performances though, so there does seem to be an educational benefit.

    Using it as a locked off camera for live music performances. It's an ok camera. We only use the audio from this as reference. It's a cheap camera if you don't want to give up your phone on a stand for long period of time.

    I got it a few days before a major theater concert and tried it out at home, close up, with different lighting and setup. Seemed OK. Took it to the concert hall; placed it in the front row with new batteries and empty sim card. Turned on record just before I began and suddenly in the 2nd half of the concert it shut itself off. Check: batteries still full; card only half full; recording quality: video, sucked, dim and color faded; sound quality: sucked too, volume low and poor quality. Checked secondary camera in the back of the room: a Sony 4K Handycam. Difference was night and day. Sony's picture was DVD quality and sound was excellent too. Conclusion: Zoom Q2N is for amateurs or home close-up use and is OK, but not good enough for professional concert show captures that would make you proud to show on YouTube or websites. IMHO

    I needed quick easy better-than cell phone recordings of some shows and practices. It works great. I've used an old zoom audio recorder for years. It's handy. A down might be, I don't have anything to compare. Other products might be better. Do your own research, but it works for me. I'm thinking how I'll use it for interesting projects.

Scene Presets: While the device offers 12 scene presets, including options like "Concert Light" and "Jazz Club," these settings provide limited improvement in very dark environments. Frame Rate Adjustments: Reducing the frame rate to 24fps can marginally enhance low-light performance by allowing more light per frame. However, this adjustment doesn't fully compensate for the sensor's limitations.

    I have this camera and love it except for some reason any recording of an acoustic guitar doesn't sound good, very choppy but the rest of the instruments sound good. Is there a setting that could fix this problem?

    It advertises for live stream..can I simply send video from this to my phone via wi-fi? I prefer to download to my android first,then upload to my YOUTUBE/FACEBOOK accts..I see no reference that I can do that
