Zildjian

collapse expand iconDescription

Developed in conjunction with renowned jazz drummer Adam Nussbaum, the Zildjian 22" K Constantinople Renaissance Ride is a versatile instrument that works well in small to medium size musical settings. The cymbal has an ambient and distinct ping and escalates quickly to a resonating crash.

Along with a vintage appearance, this cymbal also features smoother lathing on both sides and a bell that is unlathed underneath, adding stick definition to the instrument. Three rows of over hammering and four large hammer clusters give it a dark spread with overtones and a bit of "trash." The K Constantinople Renaissance Ride is medium-thin in weight.

Right away, from the very first time you hit it with a drumstick, you'll realize this is different from every other cymbal you've played. Stick definition is amazing at all dynamic levels. The wash of sound builds up quickly but also fades quickly, making this an easy cymbal to control, especially in the 20-inch size (which is the one I bought). The bell is thin but also has enough high-end overtones to speak with clarity. I think what it comes down to is that, with this series, Zildjian takes the time to really work the metal and add more steps to the manufacturing process, which results in a more pure tone and better sound than just about any other cymbal out there. K Constantinople cymbals are true works of art.

In this application, I'm using this amazing and gigant cymbal as my second crash (I got the 22"), it is one of the most beautiful sounds that I've heard, I love how it feels when your playing loud and soft music. It depends in your style, I would definitely recommended this cymbal.
