Yamaha

collapse expand iconDescription

As with the introduction of Stage Custom in 1995, Yamaha once again sets the standards of value and sound. The shell is a key factor in a drum's ability to "rumble" or resonate. Accordingly, the Stage Custom employs 100% birch—a classic in the realm of high-class drum kits. Moreover, with its 6-ply structure the Stage Custom accurately conveys the vibrations produced at the impact surface, achieving performance that overwhelms anything in its class. A 45-degree bearing edge ensures maximum resonance with high overtones.

This snare is fitted with 1.5 mm steel triple-flange hoops, a B-Type side throw-off and Remo heads.

I bought this as a replacement for my 30 year old Tama steel snare that my son lost parts to. I have a vintage cranberry yamaha stage custom kit. Bought this to replace the Tama as it was more expensive to replace it than buy this new one.

Been playing drums for over 30 years. Wanted a practice snare to keep the nice one in a more prestige condition . First, it looks great. Second, of course I had to fine tune it and will eventually change the head but overall sounds nice. A small ring but for practice , not at all a problem.

  • Nice drum, for price

Have it on my practice kit at home. Nice shell however terrible ring. Tightening and moon gel helps but not perfect. Love the use as practice but would not use on a performance kit.

  • Great buy for the money
