These drums were a gift for my son. He loves them! He was particularly excited about how good the snare sound is. He has been playing these nonstop. I would recommend to anyone who is a beginner drummer. Just remember it does not come with cymbals or stands, snare stand, kick pedal, or throne.

Using this in a small home studio, but would be great live too. Wasnt expecting the sound to be as great as it is, especially the kick. I've always used maple, for over 15 years. After a lot of research on Yamaha, I felt this was a good fit. It far exceeded my expectations!!

Uninformed store, misleading photos and terrible description. All these caused us to get this product thinking that we are getting a drum-set, but all it was, 5 piece of drums, nothing else.

I purchased this set in the Deep Blue Sunburst color, the fit and finish is beautiful. The tom mounts are great and stay where you put them. The sound, even with the stock heads is good. This is a great set for the money and I would recommend them highly.

i purchased this yamaha stage custom 5 piece set in cranberry red about 8 months ago after looking at a few complete beginner sets and could not be happier with my decision. paired with some quality cymbals and hardware it is a rock solid set.

Unmatched hardware ,sound is amazing and such a beautiful natural finish. My dad whose played for his entire life as well owns a set ,a long w several other Yamaha. We don't buy Tama anymore after problem aft problem w there products ,but Yamah will never let you down. I've played many gigs w this set and never any problems.
