This is one of those guitars you will never sell but with the feel and playability you will actually take it out and use it.. I I have 8 American Taylor's and the 814ce builders blackface is one of my favorites but it's nice enough I had been gigging with my AD12e sb or 326ce in the urban ash before it went all mahogany. But this one looks great sounds great and the beveled armrest and all the edges rounded makes this a dream to play 3-4 hour shows 3-4 nights a week. Hopefully someone else will see this and grab it while you can!

I'm a 50+ years picker, I've owned more than a dozen Taylor guitars, this is my second Builder's Edition. I love the Builder's Edition upgrades in both comfort and playability. This guitar plays and feels phenomenal. The tone is typical Taylor but the projection is more in the midrange than the top end. The bass is not quite as articulate as some. I attribute that to the Urban Ash verses Rosewood back and sides. The colors are not as vibrant in the person as they are in the pictures. I think that's from the Silent Satin finish that I'm not a fan of. I prefer a gloss finish on a guitar. I wish Taylor would give the choice of gloss or silent satin. I prefer the looks of my Glossy Taylor's over the looks of my Silent Satin Taylor's. But my 2 BE Edition Taylor's are my go to guitars, and they're both Silent Satin. Overall I would definitely recommend for a friend.
