MESA/Boogie brings its legendary Mark series preamp to a new level of portability and versatility with the Mark Five: 35 1x12 combo amp. Delivering 35 watts of power through a custom-designed 12" speaker, the Mark Five: 35 offers two fully independent channels with six style modes to produce an astounding array of tones. An all-tube reverb and effects loop provide even more tonal control, while multiple low-power options give players more flexibility. A channel-independent solo feature and upgraded footswitch offer simple, performance-ready operation. Weighing in at just 44 pounds, the Mark Five: 35 is the perfect grab-and-go amp for gigging, recording and practice.

Unparalleled Tone Shaping From a Legendary Preamp

At the heart of the Mark Five: 35 lies MESA/Boogie's renowned Mark series preamp, providing two completely independent channels with six style modes for crafting your perfect tone. From shimmering cleans to vintage crunch to modern high gain, this preamp delivers an unmatched level of tone shaping in a portable package. An all-tube reverb adds depth and dimension to your sound, while an effects loop allows you to incorporate your favorite pedals.

Performance-Ready Features for Stage and Studio

A channel-independent solo feature boosts either channel for leads, while an upgraded footswitch provides easy access to channels, modes, reverb and more during performance or recording. At 43 pounds, the Mark Five: 35 is lightweight enough for gigging, yet powerful enough for any studio application. Multiple low-power options, including 10 watts and 25 watts, allow you to crank the preamp at lower volumes for a looser, more overdriven tone in smaller spaces.

Premium Components for Premium Tone

As with all MESA/Boogie amps, the Mark Five: 35 is built from the highest-quality components to provide years of trouble-free performance. A custom-designed 12" speaker handles the Mark preamp's output with ease, delivering clear highs, punchy mids and tight bass. Premium tubes, including four EL-84 power tubes and six 12AX7 preamp tubes are rigorously tested to meet MESA's demanding standards. Precision craftsmanship and a rugged build quality ensure this amp will inspire for a lifetime.

What a GREAT amp! Unfortunately, Guitar Center shipped in a dusty, used, amp. Not in the original packaging, and missing the cable to the foot switch. Their response, when I called them and told them it was dusty and used... "just return it, and then order another; you have 45 days.

I don't know how to update the three star review I left earlier or I would've. The other amp's reverb didn't work and I figured out why on the replacement amp. The fan didn't appear to work and I believe a pre amp tube was faulty because of overheating. The new amp is perfect so I can say now that I'm very happy with it. I've plugged in my Stratocaster and the cleans are bright and the clean channel brings out the single coils like I've never heard before on my old amp, a modeling VOX. I plugged in my Ibanez jhm and on the dirty channel I get very accessible harmonics of all kinds. Same with my Les Paul but with it I get a refined dirty. I was worried about needing pedals for overdrive but completely unnecessary. The amp is difficult to dial back as the master volume is very touchy. Thankfully there are three watts and two impedance speaker choices to help in not scaring the wife or cat with my sloppy playing. I wish I could take back the three star or update it. I should've waited for the replacement amp first. But I was annoyed and in my defense it seems to be a problem (reverb not working) with this model. The good ones are a bargain for the price.

  • Reverb doesn't work

This seems to be a recurring issue with this amp. It sounds great but all amps sound terrible without some reverb, to me at least. I looked online to see if there was a quick fix, but there isn't. It's either a bad tube or bad capacitor. It's going back to GC and I'll try another. I would rather gnaw my arm off than go back up there but the closest service center for Mesa is in Nashville. Big nope. As a dry amp it sounds great on the clean and dirty channels, but with no reverb it doesn't sound like it should. I've also read that if it's a bad tube that controls the reverb send, the gain is off. This thing is very loud, even on the 10w setting. And with the speaker plugged into the 4 ohm jack. I truly want a fully functioning amp, especially at this price point. I only hope Mesa has finally fixed this obvious congenital issue with this model. I only want a Mesa now.

I was looking for one amp that could do most everything I need in the studio. Most amps can't do half of it, whereas this does it all: smoky clean sparkly clean clean clean twang edge of break up (all flavors) lo-gain texas blues santana smooth ac/dc brown sound modern gain all metal

I am a funk/Rock/Metal guitarist. I get paid to play funk, but I listen to metal and love to play it. This amp along with it's little brother (Mark V 25) will cover it all convincingly. How do I know? I eventually bought both. The 35 was needed for practice with the band.. (Loud Drummer)
