good pedal for price
these pedals are as good or better than most others of their price. I had a gibraltar double pedal i bought for $100, and i was not impressed with it at all. this pedal was my first wake up call on what a pedal should be like. i feel anybody would be happy with this double pedal's performance because of its great abilities in the categories of speed, response, and comfort.

Horrible mistake
After reading the great reviews, I bought this pedal. Someone else did mention here that there's no bottom plate on the right pedal, and this is true, and it makes the pedal feel light and moves around too much. It takes a lot more leg work to work it, the spring action is decent, but there's no power behind the kicks, and I feel it's because it's not heavy, or sturdy enough to whack the bass drum like you'd want. In the middle of a show I switched back to my single pedal and immediately felt the difference. I hope I can modify this pedal in some way to make it work, as I love playing double kick but can't afford an Iron Cobra.

Haven't been using for too long but so far so good, very smooth and responsive and seems durable enough for my practice kit. Wish it came with a carry case though.

I bought this double pedal a few weeks ago and I love it! I don't have a drum kit to use this with yet, but I have it set up to where I can do some double pedal training in my room to get used to playing with both feet. I'm excited for the day when I can set this up with my next drum kit sometime soon. #sweepstakes

Great price..easy set up..all around good deal. The price was a sale item. And compared to other pedals that are similar this one does everything and more. Now can I please get my 5 bucks off my next purchase please?? Ps the guitar tech at the portage michigan location is the best set up man there is. He does amazing work and deserves a raise and a A+ for performance and quality craftsmanship.

A drummer in my prime in his 30s and Drumming since junior high: feels light as a feather, however, if you're used to the heavier double chain drive style DO NOT BUY! I've never really been a fan of heavy pedals. I will use this on my electronic drum set and for home recording albums.

Can this be used with the Alesis Crimson II electronic drumset?
It might. The ability to use a double pedal on e-drums has nothing to do with the pedal. If you can fit two pedals so they hit the trigger as close to center as possible it'll work. If not centered properly it won't trigger The issue is how wide is your kick pad. Take a look at the pad on the Roland V-Drums TD-1DMK as an examplesubmitted3 years ago

Is this Maypex 500 double bass pedals the same as the Maypex P500TW? I'm buying this as a gift and want to be sure it's the correct one. Thank you.

Will these work on any electric drum kit(specifically Alesis drums)?
It depends on the size of the bass pad, as long as you can hit the sensor without the beaters hitting the rim it should work alright.submitted4 years ago

Will this work with an electric drum kit?
The issue with e- drums is not the trigger or the pedal, it's a matter of space - will both pedals hit the trigger close enough to center to trigger.submitted4 years ago
