I originally bought a Legere reed for my alto sax and loved it so much that I now have them for tenor and bari saxophones too. I love how well they work straight out of the box, and how long they last. I play in a band that I have to switch between a few different instruments in and the Legere reeds allow me to pick each instrument up and play it immediately, without having to re-wet the reed each time. The only negative thing I can say is that it's very hard to get them out of the case without running the risk of having the edge of the reed split from being pushed against the back of the case as you lift one side out. I use a different reed holder to store them in between uses because of that.
Great product!

These Legere reeds last for long periods of time and are consistent . I would highly recommend the American cut for jazz players.
Great synthetic reed. Stable tone and good quality.

It's a little harder than the cane reed so a 1.5 synthetic will be a 1.75 cane reed. But it worths every dollar you pay. You'll never go back to cane reeds after trying Legere American Cut.

I have struggled with cane reeds long enough. It is so nice to get good tone from the beginning and consistently. I have been playing cane reeds for years and wish I has went to these well before now. I will not go back to cane reeds.
