Lace

collapse expand iconDescription

Radical Lace Alumitone electric guitar pickups have less resistance and higher output with clear, big frequency response in a completely noise-free passive design. Constructed with aluminum rather than copper, Lace humbuckers have a current-driven design as opposed to conventional voltage-based pickups.

The Lace Alumitone humbucker's aluminum water jet cut exoskeleton is mated with a micro-winding using 90% less copper wire than traditional designs. The result is an extremely lightweight and efficient pickup for your guitar. Sonically, Lace Alumitone pickups have more volume, more bass, and more mids with nice, clear, smooth high-frequency response that cuts.

Lace accompanies the Alumitone humbucker with a 3-inch mini data CD with all its latest wiring diagrams in color along with Lace's most current pickup and guitar catalogs. You also get a warranty card and other useful information about Lace Music Products.

great pickup with staggering tonal range for a passive pickup . With the range of an active pickup, it is mind blowing how little noise it produces ( the unwanted kind). I wish I'd discovered these a long time ago , but this is going in all my guitars from now on. Oh yeah they look great too!

I was having trouble finding the right pickups for my Jackson DK2M with a maple fretboard. Nothing seemed to sound right. It was either too bassy, or not powerful enough. I settled on a Lace Alumitone Deathbucker in the bridge, and the regular Alumitone in the neck. I think I've found the right combo! The Alumitones have all the benefits of an active pickup (loud, clear, quiet), with none of the drawbacks (sterile tone, dead batteries). They don't color the tone of your instrument, and they don't cover up sloppy technique. They also are sensitive to the touch, so don't accidentally tap the pickup when playing. It will come through loud and clear! Alumitones are also the lightest pickups I've ever dealt with. Two of them will lighten your guitar by a couple of pounds!

These replaced the stock Black Magic double slug pickups (496R/500T)in a 2004 LP Voodoo I picked-up as a "fixer." NIGHT AND DAY!!! No hum. Gain does what it is supposed to do. No more compensating for dead spots across ranges. It sounds like it is supposed to sound. It's cleaner than my "real" LP Goldtop sounds. Guess I need to order another pair? One negative - the wires were too short and it was more work than it should have been soldering in the neck pickup. Give us an extra inch of wire, guys?

If you don't like getting off the beaten path, you'll miss out when you pass up the Alumitones. These pickups are unlike anything else out there. Lots of clean, musical tone and plenty of volume. Quiet and lightweight. A sustain freak's dream come true. I put a set in a B.C. Rich NJ Mockingbird and it sure came alive. I know I won't be taking them back out.

Ok I baught a set of the chrome humbuckers from some where else because I was able to pick them up at wholesale prices. These pickups are worth double the $109 a piece. I put these in my Jackson Kelly. These pickups put any other pickup on the market to shame and not a little they stomp other pickups into the ground. You want to play all different styles definately get these. One of the greatest things is that no matter what effects your running through you do not lose your signal or note clarity plus they have killer harmonics. Put it this way how good they are I took my Jackson to the local shop cause it is under warranty and I didn't want to void it, but the guy at the guitar shop literally asked me when I went to pick it up if I could leave it there for a couple more days because he was loving the sound of the pickups that much. So save your money don't buy duncans or anything else save and buy these!!!

We do not recommend wiring them outside of the manufactures specifications
