JBL Pro Portable PA Training Series: 'All-In-One Columns & EON700 Pass-Thru & Time Alignment'

Description
Since JBL debuted the EON series in 1995, they've been at the forefront of the world of premium portable powered PA cabinets. The EON700 Series gives a fresh kick to their technological lead. Comprising three 1,300W-peak powered PA speakers, the EON710, EON712 and EON715, plus a 1,500W-peak powered subwoofer, the EON718S, the EON700 Series leverages technology, not just from JBL, but from across the entire spectrum of Harman brands, to create a system with class-leading volume, clarity and features.

Response and Volume to Spare
The EON700 Series starts with completely redesigned, high-efficiency, low-frequency drivers, from the 10" EON710 to the 18" 718S sub. Along with JBL's 2414H high-frequency driver and an optimized horn design, these cabinets are engineered to retain accuracy and smooth, natural sound, even under the most extreme performance conditions. With levels up to 128dB for the loudspeakers and 131dB for the subwoofer, the system is ideal for covering up to medium-sized venues, from the first row to the last.

Powerful DSP for Crafting Performance
Thanks to tech developed in concert with Harman sibling companies like dbx and Soundcraft, EON700 speakers feature pro-grade DSP (digital signal processing) with 8-band EQ, multiple optimized presets and Soundcraft automated ducking, among other features. One major advantage of the systems is the dbx Automatic Feedback Suppression system which keeps your ears, and your audience's, safe from the screech.

Versatility and Control for Any Application
Connectivity is never an issue with the EON700 Series. From the built-in, low-latency, high-bandwidth Bluetooth 5.0 audio streaming and the JBL Pro Connect mobile app to the pair of combo inputs and XLR loop out, hooking everything up is simplicity itself. That holds true whether you're using a single cabinet with the integrated 3-channel mixer, or a larger system with a larger front-of-house mixer feeding multiple full-range speakers and subwoofers. And the mobile app gives you the power to adjust JBL EON700 speakers from anywhere in the venue.
Multiple Installation and Setup Options for Added Flexibility
If you need setup flexibility, EON700 Series speakers have you covered. In addition to the standard pole-mount sockets, all full-range models feature top and rear suspension points if you need to fly the cabinets. There's also an optional universal yoke bracket for fixed installations. The EON718S subwoofer can act as a base for a standard threaded pole mount, plus is designed for easy stacking for cardioid configurations.
JBL performance tests every loudspeaker and subwoofer for 100 hours before they'll ship it out, so you know you get consistency, performance and rugged reliability that lasts, straight out of the box. So, step up to an EON700 Series system, and get the volume, versatility and sound quality you need.

I think it sounds good???

I'm pretty sure the speakers sound good. I paired 2 of these with a qsc sub and for the life of me, I couldn't get the darn gains and volumes set. At one point, I had literally no gain into an input and the clip light was still going crazy. I don't even know how that's posible. Bluetooth control and all that is cool but unnecessary when a simple eq or eq preset would've done the trick. In my opinion these speakers just have too much room to fight with you on larger setups or when pairing up with subwoofers. I'm sure they sound great if set up expertly, but I never got around to hearing that. Get the cp series from qsc instead. Way better value and reliability for setting up and tearing down.
What happened, JBL? Your power button doesn't work!

I have been recommending and installing JBL speakers for over 30 years. After my experience with the "push button" on/off switch that left my church client without sound for 2 meetings, I will never recommend or install another JBL product ever again or put my integrity on the line.
Just what I needed.

Was using a cheaper powered speaker in my o]piano/vocal show. Was unhappy with the sound of the piano. Decided to bite the bullet and spend a bit more for the JBL. What a difference. As they say, you get what you pay for!

Just WOW...Amazing clarity, Excellent Bass....I purchased this speaker to play backing tracks and rock music in my garage, so I can play guitar with the tracks, I currently have a 50watt Marshall Half-Stack, and want to jam kinda Loud sometimes, so I figured a 12" PA Speaker would cut it.....I only purchased 1 Speaker so far, and it's CRAZY loud....I have a 2-car garage, and have to open Both bays at 3/4 volume.....the sound will carry very far, I guarantee my neighbors can hear it hundreds of yards away. But these speakers are very manageable at Lower volumes as well, it doesn't start to Amplify Loud until past 1/2 volume.....but it Still holds absolute Clarity.....NO clipping, distortion or Sound break-up at all!!! I'm just blown away how clear and Saturated it sounds at louder volumes. I suppose "Bass" is objective....it's not going to hit 8000 different frequencies like a Bass Speaker,(that's why you have dedicated Sub Woofers)....... but you will Feel the Hard Kick of a Drum Pedal for sure. Like I said, it's very good for listening to music, Not just DJ or Live Music. Blue Tooth sound quality is actually amazing on this speaker, I was going to use a dedicated Cable for my computer, but honestly Blue Tooth is perfectly fine....because I've had issues with many speakers sounding Bad with BT, but not here........ I'm so glad I spent on the money on JBL instead of buying something cheaper......you know what they say, buy Cheap, you end up buying it Twice....... The only Con I can think of, is the control Knob moves kinda twitchy when navigating the Menu, but it does feel high quality. Unit is also Much lighter than I thought when grabbing from the Top Handle.
Left the PRX line for the new EON 700 speakers........

I sold my JBL PRX800s (815s,818s) for the same price I paid for them while posted overseas thinking I would replace them when I arrived back in the states. Unfortunately, I was told the PRX800s were backordered until October. However, while doing my research I found out JBL came out with the new EON 700 series for about half the cost so I ordered 2 EON712s and 1 EON718 (will order another one but read the rest of my post). Not much I can say about the 712s except 5 STARS !! I'm so happy with the sound and quality of these speakers and for the cost compared to the PRX line....you can't beat them. Plus the added BT streaming from my phone is nice. Now the bad news - ordered directly from Guitar Center on May 11th and received the EON712s within a week but I'm still waiting on my EON718. My order states it's backordered but when I look online at some Guitar Center stores, it says available !? What's up with that Guitar Center !!!
Really like these little speakers.
