Gibson The Garden Guitar Strap

I did not buy this strap through GC, but I still wanted to put my experience out there for those looking. I love the look of this strap. The stitching is well done, the leather on the underside is comfortable, the strap itself feels sturdy. The ends, however, are not the best. The material is thin, and while it seems like it would withstand a fair amount of use, there's just a couple rivets holding it on. There's nothing on the back end holding it together but those two rivets. No glue, no stitching. I got this to go with my Les Paul, which weighs in right at 11 pounds. To ease my mind, I purchased a small rivet set and added a couple extra to be on the safe side. Gibson should take notes from places like Souldier Straps and engineer their ends to be more hardy. I get that they were going for the vintage look, but functionality should take a front seat here.
