I typically use glass slides, but for a different sound I chose this Texas slide. It's very good, but players with thicker digits should try it on before buying as it's fairly narrow.

Been using a glass ring-finger slide that seemed to work well, but when I got my Johnny Winter signature Texas Slide (y'all), I found that switching to my pinkie wasn't a problem at all. The slide is light, fast and scorching, and any adjustment in tone that you might want can be done with the onboard tone controls. I had heard that this slide tends to sound a little 'thin', but that hasn't been the case. I play an AM Standard Strat, and the sound can be anything from a glass cutter to a muffled chain saw - certainly enough range for me.

The slide is perfect for me. Fits right on my pinky and is not all big and clunky. More control, better action, better view. Having a blast!
