There are two types of peg compound (I did not know this at first) This is only good for really tight pegs. But please, if your pegs are not budging because they are too tight, don't force them, take it to your local Tech or risk breaking your peg box. To use loosen string, remove peg and apply one thin layer around the rim where it fits into peg box (I give instruction because it does not come with it). If your pegs (like mine were when I ordered this because they would not stay in tune) you need liquid peg compound (GC does not sell it) I did get a chance to try this though and was not sad that I had it.

Starting out in my 20's this helped me improve my positioning and keeps my bow from straying. Although this has been very helpful, it is really snug. The first time i used it i was scared it would crush my new violin or mar my finish. two months in and nothing like that happened.
