I do not play piano, but I bought it for writing music and using it to learn new songs to play on guitar. But it does more than I need, including recording music and instructional properties.

I was happy at first but then it stopped working after only 2 months. I'm very disappointed I would like a refund or an exchange for a new piano.

  • This piano is the best I have ever played!, I love it.

Very disappointed.I've been playing a psr530 for over 20 years.I thought it was time for a new one.I bought a psr e283 and I hate it.I can't read the screen to see what I'm playing and it's very complicated to play.I guess I'll watch it gather dust in the corner.

Bought it for my 13 year old daughter and she loved it. It's easy to use and she loves all of the different sounds she can get out of it.

Yes, the Yamaha PSR-E283 can indeed support a foot pedal — but only one — and it must be a sustain pedal. The PSR-E283 has a 1/4" Sustain Pedal input jack on the back, typically labeled as “SUSTAIN.” This jack supports a basic momentary footswitch-style sustain pedal.
