Have been looking for a Keyboard with Indian Instrument Voices and Rhythms for many years. Have owned various high-end keyboards (Yamaha, Roland Juno etc). Finally discovered that this Yamaha keyboard is available in the USA at a very good price. There is also one made by Casio, but that is not available in the USA (yet). The keyboard is light and has built-in speakers - which are of good quality. It can also run on batteries, but no thanks. The Indian Instrument voices are really good - especially harmonium. They could have added more voices such as additional Santoor etc Most of the rhythms are good, but was disappointed that some common rhythms can be improved - notably TeenTal and also the mchine is missing additional rhythms for Garaba and Dandia. The rthythm beats rate is unfortunately same for all the rhythms to start with - and that should be corrected. Typically, rhythms for classical music have a slow beat rate compared to some Bollywood songs. The feel of the keys is good. The knobs are located in a proper pattern, however for some changes to your selection, you have to go through multiple button pushes. For the price paid in the USa, it is a great machine as the options are very few. I would be willing to pay more for a robust version and the one with 74 or 88 keys. Hope that is planned next.

Does the Yamaha PSR I500 come with an Arranger? What is the advantage of having an Arranger? Does the Keyboard come with Warranty? Is the PSR I500 only good for playing Indian songs? I would like to play both Indian and Western songs. Please advise.
