I have a beautiful Taylor that I love and I hated the idea of sticking an ugly rubber plug in it to help with feedback trouble. Thank God I found this product! The quality is WAY beyond what I was expecting and it resolved my feedback problems instantly. What makes it even better is that is doesn't close off the sondhole all the way. And what really surprsed me is that my guitar still sounds great with it installed even when I'm not plugged in!!! I thought I'd have to pull it out every time I wanted to play acoustically. I just leave it in full time. Love it, it's worth every penny.

Appealing in sound and sight

By KCameron

Comments about The Lute Hole Company 4" Soundhole Covers for Feedback Control in Maple or Walnut:

Product review for LuteHole Cover 4" soundhole cover for feedback control: I was very pleased with the quality of this product. Using it on my Takamine G series acoustic-electric plugged into my roland amp I only needed moderate feedback coverage for the bass notes when I strum. Not only does it fix the feedback problem without muting the sound, It is very well crafted of solid wood and adds a unique touch to the look of my guitar. I like the different color and control level options that you can choose from. As a female guitarist, I was very pleased to find this product that gives me the right amount of feedback control in a very aesthetically pleasing package.

lute sound hole cover

By Steve

from El Mirage Arizona

Comments about The Lute Hole Company 4" Soundhole Covers for Feedback Control in Maple or Walnut:

bought the lute sound hole cover (moderate coverage) for my takamine G series after reading other reviews. not only did it take care of the roaring feedback of my top two bass strings, did not effect the acoustic sound of the guitar, it was very easy to install and looks good also. some people who have seen my guitar from a short distance thought that the guitar was made made with the that way. worth the thirty dollars, good product would recommend to any one with a feedback problem.

Lute Hole 4" Soundhole Cover for Feedback Control

By Kelli

from Big Spring, TX

Comments about The Lute Hole Company 4" Soundhole Covers for Feedback Control in Maple or Walnut:

I love the look and it did insert easily into the sound hole. Have not had a chance to use it in a full stage setting with mics and amps -- so not sure if it will give the feedback control I am seeking. Hopefully will know soon. So far it has worked well in a small setting.

Comments about The Lute Hole Company 4" Soundhole Covers for Feedback Control in Maple or Walnut:

I like it! Plain and simple. I does take some work to get it fitted on the guitar, but once it is on, It seems pretty snug. It cured my feed back problem with my acoustic guitar amp. I have recieved positive comments from my friends about the cover. It looks real good. I have an Ibanez AEL series acoustic guitar that this Lute Hole Cover fits on.

Comments about The Lute Hole Company 4" Soundhole Covers for Feedback Control in Maple or Walnut:

I bought this to enhance the look of my Taylor Academy 12e. It more than meets my greatest expectations. I bought the heavy feedback control in maple because of the looks. It does decrease the volume of the guitar slightly but to my surprise it enhances the tone . I rarely use my guitar plugged into my amplifier so I can't comment on feedback control. I ordered it from Guitar Center on a Tuesday and picked it up on Saturday. It arrived with excellent packaging and installation instructions. Mine came with the foam rubber extending outside the perimeter of the cover which required the use of some blunt instrument to push the foam rubber into the hole. I used the blunt end of a nail clipper. After I got it installed I thought a better tool would have been a thin guitar pick. Believe me this was no big deal and was probably designed this way so it fits snug without scratching your guitar. Lute Hole is a great company. I emailed them and they promptly answered my question. Taylor Guitars like them as well because this is part of a response I got from Taylor when I contacted them, "We really like and recommend Lute Hole soundhole covers." Lute Hole has a great web site where I was surprised to find out what musicians are using them.

    Looks and Sounds Awesome

    By Tom Nolette

    from North Andover, MA

Comments about The Lute Hole Company 4" Soundhole Covers for Feedback Control in Maple or Walnut:

I have a Martin OMC 160 GTE acoustic-electric, and purchased the heavy feedback control Lute Hole cover in maple. It wood design and color matches the guitar pretty well and aesthetically looks fantastic. It cuts down the feedback considerably, especially when used with my guitar's built in notch filter, which was insufficient on its own. I just leave it in all the time now. I am also happy and elated to report that it does not diminish or change the tonal qualities of the guitar in any noticeable way when played unplugged. When plugged-in, I actually get far superior tone, especially since I don't have to forcefully diminish the bass frequencies on my equalizer to stop the ringing and feedback on the E and A strings anymore. I have gone from settling for tinny, to enjoying a deep full sound at volume. I had also purchased one of the inexpensive black rubber sound hole covers from another manufacturer at the same time. That did not even come close to fitting my 3.75 inch diameter sound hole. I could probably make it fit, but that is now destined to sit on a shelf forever, as I could never bring myself to replace the quality and beauty of the maple cover with an unattractive black rubber stopper. If you are on the fence, just get it! You won't be disappointed!

I love this! The first time I had ever seen one was on Jon Foreman's guitar so I had to have one. It's awesome! There's no difference in sound, if anything it sounds better and it looks amazing! The only. Negative thing i would say about it is that it's a little difficult to install. The foam doesn't seem to hold up very well when installing and i had to use a butter knife to help ease it into the sound hole. Other than that, i highly recommend this and have already gotten a lot of compliments on it!
