Eeek! Down grade in build quality for sure. Doesn't feel the same as the previous builds. Great pitch and motor for sure. Excellent sound quality.
I would like to and have already purchased again!

I use this for my at home DJ studio everyday and love the feel of the sound this brings. Works very well with the Allen & Heath analog mixers.
The Best Out of the New Technics Line

I am using the sl-1200mk7 for home use. In my opinion, the sl-1200mk7 is the best sounding turntable out of all of the new Technics lineup. That includes the sl-1200g, which I've owned as well. The sl-1200mk7 has a way more airy, open and visceral sound as opposed to the more expensive Technics turntables. Technics (and audiophiles) attempt to isolate their more expensive turntables too much, leaving a dry, lifeless sound in their wake. Vinyl is supposed to have its own unique sound; a sound of presence in a room. Trying too hard to make vinyl sound like the digital or cd medium doesn't make any sense. Otherwise, why bother with vinyl? I'm not listening to audiophile reviewers anymore. The sl-1200mk7 is very fun to listen to.
