collapse expand iconDescription

The Technics SL-1200MK7 direct-drive professional DJ turntable is a reimagination of the iconic Technics SL-1200 series. Loved by DJs worldwide for its high performance, reliability and durability, the SL-1200MK7 improves on a classic with new and modernized features to meet today's advanced DJing needs. The SL-1200MK7 is built to perfection for DJs and electronic music artists looking for a premium turntable that can keep up with their creativity.

High Torque Direct Drive Motor for Stable Rotation and Powerful Torque

At the heart of the SL-1200MK7 is a newly developed direct drive motor with coreless double rotor to deliver high torque and stable rotation. The motor provides a starting torque of 4.5 kg-cm and reaches rotation speeds of 33 1/3 and 45 RPM in just 0.15 seconds. The direct drive system is highly durable and shock-resistant, minimizing resonance for clear audio reproduction with little interference or noise.

High Precision Bearing and Anti-Vibration Construction

To further reduce interference, the SL-1200MK7 incorporates a high precision bearing along with a two-layer construction with independent insulators to limit the transfer of vibrations. The heavy-duty design includes a die-cast aluminum top panel, rubber insulation and a 40 mm thick non-resonant acrylic platter. These elements work together to prevent resonance buildup and yield a stable, vibration free base for your vinyl records.

Advanced Tonearm System and Adjustable Counterweight

The static balance S-shaped tonearm crafted for the SL-1200MK7 is made of lightweight, high rigidity aluminum to accurately trace vinyl grooves. An adjustable counterweight lets you modify vertical tracking force between zero three grams for optimal playback of your records. Anti-skate control applies the proper amount of compensation to prevent the tonearm from drifting towards the center of the record.

High-Performance Phono Preamp and Detachable Cable

For convenient playback through external devices, the SL-1200MK7 includes a built-in phono preamp to boost the turntable's signal to line level. A detachable cable with gold-plated phono plugs provides a secure connection between the turntable and your DJ mixer or audio system. Take your vinyl performance to the next level with the Technics SL-1200MK7— available now at Guitar Center.

Delivers the goods.

Tge Technics 1200mk7 us designed as a DJ table, however it can be abd us used as an audiophile hone component. I was gifted this tabke in 12/25. I was concerned it would be a lateral move from my then present table. I was wrong. The MK7 is a superb sounding table. It brings out many details I found missing with my previous tables. Also, there is a mid improvement in soundstage, and imaging. It's revolution accuracy is outstanding and it's built is of good quality. I can't imagine a better TT in the price area. The only complaints I've read is the unhinged dust cover and a lack of preamp. Both are minimal a best and fo not compromise performance. I prefer the DJ version I feel the SQ is of high performance and would likely nor be apparent in most systems in this price area. This and the tougher built abd cool looks sold me. Is it audiophile grade? I'd believe so, but that a personal opinion you'll have to make yourself. I highly recommend this product.

Ok but far from best

For now at home usage, only use these if your using DJ software, if not and your playing vinyl, you will be disappointed these turntables are not made like the older ones.
