Description
The Soldano SLO-30 Super Lead Overdrive tube amplifier delivers the iconic Soldano roar in a studio- and stage-friendly 30W format. Loaded with a 12" Celestion G12H-150 Redback speaker, this 2-channel combo amp serves up crystalline cleans and face-melting overdrive with equal aplomb. The SLO-30 packs the same preamp design and tone-shaping controls as the legendary SLO-100 in a compact chassis, giving discerning guitarists a harmonically rich high-gain voice that leads the pack.
Normal and Overdrive Channels Provide Sonic Versatility
The SLO-30's Normal channel yields pristine cleans that can be honed using the Bright and Crunch switches, while the Overdrive channel delivers a thick, saturated tone with scorching highs. Independent preamp gain and master volume controls on each channel enable you to achieve overdriven tones at workable volume levels.
Unparalleled Tone-Shaping Capabilities
Both channels share bass, middle, treble, presence, and depth controls that provide extensive tone-tailoring potential. A rotary impedance selector accommodates 4-, 8- or 16-ohm extension cabs. The depth control, a popular SLO mod, enhances the amp's tonal range. An ultratransparent effects loop handles pedals and rack units with ease.
Premium Components and Improved Noise Floor
Handcrafted in the US using top-grade components, the SLO-30 features modern grounding, a DC filament supply, and circuit separation for minimal crosstalk and noise. The result is an excellent signal-to-noise ratio without compromising the amp's signature sound.
Onboard Channel Switching For Maximum Convenience
An onboard toggle switch provides seamless switching between the Normal and Overdrive channels, ideal for studio use or when a footswitch is unavailable. The line out output enables direct recording, and the SLO-30 includes a padded gig bag for safe transport and storage.

Outstanding, but beware the low end

Beautiful amp, rich sound, very usable gain and EQ controls across both channels. The bottom end is big, and flubby though. If you want 70s-80s rock, it's perfect. Want something for tight thrash or moden metal? Eh, she really doesn't deliver. Use your money elsewhere.

This is a fantastic amp. It has the high gain tone that I have been looking for. In addition, the clean and crunch tones are very good as well. The effects loop is very useable and the amp is extremely easy to dial in! I haven't heard a bad tone out of it yet. The overdrive channel is not fizzy which for me is ideal as that can be a little difficult to dial out.
