collapse expand iconDescription

The Roland FP-30X 88-key digital piano combines professional performance with an accessible design, making it ideal for players at every level. Powered by Roland's SuperNATURAL Piano sound engine, this model offers a refined acoustic experience, whether in the studio, onstage or at home. Its 256-voice polyphony ensures smooth playback for complex compositions, while the PHA-4 Standard keyboard delivers authentic feel with progressive hammer action and ivory-textured keys. Onboard stereo speakers provide rich, dynamic sound, complementing curated tones from Roland's flagship instruments. Bluetooth and USB connectivity expand creative possibilities, allowing seamless integration with devices and DAWs. Lightweight yet robust, the FP-30X is designed for portability without sacrificing quality, making it a standout choice for pianists seeking professional-grade performance in a compact format.

SuperNATURAL Sound Engine for Expressive Tone

The FP-30X features Roland's SuperNATURAL sound engine, a proprietary technology that captures the intricate dynamics of an acoustic piano. This advanced engine reproduces the nuanced tonal variations that result from touch, ensuring every note feels alive and expressive. With 256-voice polyphony, the piano handles complex passages with ease, avoiding dropped notes even in layered arrangements. Curated sounds from Roland's premium instruments, including grand pianos, strings and organs, provide an expansive palette for musicians to explore. Whether practicing subtle dynamics or crafting bold compositions, the SuperNATURAL engine ensures your playing sounds rich and authentic.

PHA-4 Standard Keyboard for Authentic Feel

Roland's PHA-4 Standard keyboard delivers an exceptional playing experience, replicating the touch and response of a traditional acoustic piano. Its progressive hammer action mimics the weighted feel of grand piano keys, with heavier resistance in the lower range and lighter touch in the upper register. Escapement functionality further enhances realism, while ivory-textured keys provide a comfortable grip for extended sessions. This keyboard encourages proper technique and gives musicians a tactile connection to their sound. Whether you're performing or practicing, the PHA-4 ensures every keystroke translates into expressive musicality.

Onboard Speaker System for Rich Sound

The FP-30X is equipped with a powerful stereo speaker system that delivers a dynamic and detailed sound. Designed to complement Roland's advanced sound engine, these speakers provide clarity and depth, whether playing soft ballads or lively compositions. For larger setups, dedicated output jacks allow connection to external powered speakers, ensuring full coverage in performance environments. A desktop optimization mode adjusts the audio balance for compact spaces, while twin headphone outputs make silent practice possible. This integrated system ensures musicians can enjoy vibrant sound at home, in rehearsals or during intimate live shows.

Bluetooth and USB Connectivity for Learning and Creation

Advanced connectivity features make the FP-30X a versatile tool for both education and music production. Bluetooth audio enables streaming directly through the piano's speakers, allowing musicians to play along with tracks or take online lessons. Bluetooth MIDI connects seamlessly to apps like Roland Zenbeats or GarageBand, supporting composition and playback. USB audio/MIDI functionality ensures easy integration with DAWs for recording and editing. The Roland Piano App enhances learning by automatically recording practice sessions for review. These connectivity options let players expand their capabilities and streamline their creative workflows.

Portable Design for Versatile Playability

The Roland FP-30X is engineered for portability, featuring a compact footprint and lightweight construction. At just over 32 lb., this piano is easy to move between home, studio or stage. Pair it with the optional KSC-70 stand and KPD-70 three-pedal unit for an upright setup or use a standard damper pedal to add expressive control. The robust design ensures long-term durability while accommodating advanced techniques as players progress. Musicians seeking flexibility will appreciate its lightweight frame and professional-grade build quality.

Designed for Aspiring and Advanced Pianists

The Roland FP-30X offers an authentic piano experience with advanced features tailored for both beginners and seasoned players. Its SuperNATURAL sound engine, hammer-action keyboard and powerful speakers make it a reliable choice for home practice or live performance. Whether learning new techniques or producing music, this piano delivers the tone, touch and functionality musicians need to create with confidence.

I really love this digital piano. The keys feel amazing, almost better than my acoustic piano. The sound is very nice, and all the tones are all very good. This piano is very high quality, and is worth the price. I wish I had found this sooner.

This is my second Roland. The first [Juno 106] was 40 years ago. Time worp forward....Work,marriage , kids, college loans, retirement . I made the decision to take piano lessons again and buy another well made keyboard. The weighted keys, touch/feel of the keys and the rich round full sound of this keyboard gave me pause to spend on this product. I'm very familiar with music having played in the Orchestra as a child. Both of our children are Classical piano players...hince I've developed a taste for quality tones and pianos/keyboards. I've been sold on Roland keyboards. My favorite so far that I've played. Thanks....JL

DEFECT: when plugging in phone or any stuff device, it more than halves the output signal, while also adding distortion to it. I think is just something they missed at the factory. Otherwise, it's great for practice at home. I took it to a gig, and it's incredibly terrible to navigate in that environment, while also not being able to immediately pair with my iPad Air 2 (iOS 15.6) - later achieving success after 45 minutes of filling around with it. (it took 9s to pair with my iPad pro. sigh haha!) The App is the way to go! Although not impressed with the overall sounds, it's definitely a bump up in quality from my Casio CDP-100. (although it had a better Rhodes sound. CONTROVERSY! heheh. I use Ivory & Scarbee on the gigs.)

What is the difference between the Roland FP 30x and the FP 10 other than price? As an older person who once played piano, I'd like to get back into it. Not looking for bells and whistles just a good "Acoustic" piano sound and feel

They are not weighted like an acoustic piano. All manufacturers of "electronic/digital keyboards have their way of simulating it. "Touch Sensitivity". This means the harder you press the louder it gets.
