Great Overall Acoustic Case

I have owned an Epiphone PR-5E acoustic for over a year now and have not had a good case for it. This one does its job perfectly. This Road Runner case is extremely well built. The outside is made of very strong plastic and doesn't scratch or dent. I feel that with hard cases, the more locks the better and this case has 4. When you take a look inside you will see and feel the very soft plush that protects your guitar. There is a great compartment underneath the neck rest that can hold things like picks, capos, tuners etc. My guitar fits like a glove and doesn't budge at all. But one thing you must keep in mind is that this case is for big bodied guitars. If you have a standard dreadnought, there will be lots of wiggle room. If you have a big bodied guitar it will be very snug. Really the only complain I have is that at first it had a very noticeable smell because of the glue. But it shouldn't annoy you that much because it goes away after a day of airing it out. It isn't very heavy also which is great if you lug it around a lot. I've owned this case for a month now and I'm very pleased with its durability and its protection.

Road Runner RRMADN ABS Dreadnought Guitar Case - Very Dissap

I ordered this case about a week ago and it arrived last evening via UPS. This case is made in China. I have it next to this same case which was purchased 4 to 5 years ago by my brothr-in-law. The quality of these cases has gone down. Very poor in my opinion. Comparing the old to the new, externally the molded cases are Identicle in size and appearance. Internally, The newer case now made with less padding around the guitar body creating a larger cavity and the fit to my Epiphone Hummingbird Pro (a dreadnought size) is extremely loose and sloppy. A somewhat snug fit is desireable. The gap around the dreadnoughts body is considerable. The older case had a considerable more amount of padding giving a satisfactory fit. The exterior aluminum trim that mates to two halves of the case does not line up and fit properly. At the body end of the case, there is a gap between the two halves, about 3/16ths of an inch from center of the body to the hinge, possibly due to warpage of the molded halves. Overall, a lack of quality control. I would not recommend it.

I have owned and regularly used this case for about a year now, and i have had nothing but complaints about it. It still makes my guitar smell like glue, the latches and binding are covered in sharp edges that dent and scratch my guitar, and I've had to reglue the straps multiple times. Only a few months in, the binding got bent or something, and i have to hit the case to get it to shut, and it doesn't even fully shut, leaving a huge gap right behind the handle.

The new acoustic I bought was slightly too big for my old case so I had to get this one and have been pleasantly surprised by its durability and light weight. #sweepstakes

It's a good hard shell case- would take much punishment.
