It took four years for Mike Watt to create his perfect bass with Reverend, and it was worth the wait. The Reverend Mike Wattplower is a compact instrument with a 30" scale and larger-than-life tones. A single P-Blade humbucker captures the classic character of the vintage pickup, but with increased volume, sustain, clarity and extended low end response.

That sound is apropos for the punk legend, who first made his mark with the Minutemen. He later went on to form fIREHOSE, play with The Stooges, as well as hundreds of projects with musicians around the world. The Wattplower is loaded with many of his personalized touches.

The korina body is resonant and built to withstand the rigors of the road; the neck is also korina. Luminlay side dots will guide your way along the pau ferro fretboard even on the darkest of stages. The first fret anchor inlay pays tribute to Watt's father, who spent twenty years in the Navy. A "Wattplower" inlay is on the seventeenth.

String this Reverend thru the body or as a top-loader—the Hipshot A-style bridge gives you both options. The brass bridge spacer provides maximum sustain. Other features include Hipshot Ultralight tuners, 10% poly caps and pots, Boneite nut and a signed, initialized headstock.
