Fantastic reso head. Created the exact sound im looking for in my snare drum. Has the darker deep sound without loosing the wire sound.

  • I'll keep buying this head in a 13" and 14"

I put it on the bottom of my 14" snare and I love the way it sounds and I'll keep continuing to go after this head. I'm not downing the clear bottom heads because they provide some open tune to snares and give out tight sounds to it. I just love this head because I can do the same thing, except it's black suede and once I get a black suede top or a Smokey 77 head, it's a wrap

I have Black Suede Emperors over Black Suede Ambassadors on my toms, a Black Suede PS3 on my bass, and a Black X batter on my snare---I bought this head for the looks, but the texture really works well with the wires---I love this head, and will buy it again!

  • Wow.

This head is wonderful. But, you definitely need to get the whole set of black suede if you get this, so you have all the same colors of tone mixing. Great head!

  • love the sound of it!
