Description

The Remo Ambassador SMT coated bass drum head is a pre-muffled design featuring Sub Muffl Technology. It is constructed with a coated 10-mil single-ply film, and an externally mounted dampening profile with free-floating acoustic foam. This enables the head and drum shell to maintain full sound characteristics with additional attack and low-end frequencies. SMT technology allows a broad tonal spectrum of tuning ranges with controlled high and mid frequencies coupled with deep, powerful low tones. Ideal for live and recording applications, it is available in 16" through 24" sizes.

    I just installed this on my Ludwig bass drum. The attached ring has a positive effect on the tone. I can take the foam acoustic cushion out of the shell for a loud, ringing sound, or leave it in for a quieter, rich thud.
