This rack-mountable, modular stage box puts 16 mic/line inputs and eight line outputs at your fingertips for streamlining connectivity between FOH, monitors and recording setups. It leverages industry-standard AVB networking to provide high-bandwidth, low-latency audio distribution over Cat5e or Cat6 cable, enabling you to simplify your cabling infrastructure for cleaner stage plots and faster set up/tear down.

16 Mic/Line Inputs and 8 Line Outputs

With 16 combo XLR/TRS mic/line inputs and eight balanced TRS line outputs, the NSB 16.8 AVB has ample I/O for miking up drums, guitars and vocals in live shows, routing signals in recording studios, or patching in outboard gear. Each input offers switchable +48V phantom power, 20dB pad, polarity reverse and routing to the main or alt bus. The outputs provide routing from the main or alt bus with selectable levels.

High-Bandwidth AVB Networking

The NSB 16.8 AVB utilizes AVB Ethernet networking to distribute audio between compatible PreSonus interfaces with ultralow latency. It supports daisy-chaining up to four NSB 16.8 AVB stage boxes from a single network port on your interface for a maximum of 64 inputs and 32 outputs—without needing an external switch. With AVB's high bandwidth, you get 256 channels of 24-bit/48kHz audio over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable.

Modular, Rack-Mountable Design

The NSB 16.8 AVB features a modular design with removable stage boxes that house the mic preamps and analog I/O connections. The networking components reside in a 1U rack-mountable chassis, enabling you to place the stage boxes on stage for mic and line connections while keeping the chassis with your FOH or monitor rack. Each 8-channel stage box can be used independently or combined for 16 or 24 channels, providing flexible setups for productions of any size.

Easy Set Up and Control

With the NSB 16.8 AVB, you can dramatically simplify your cabling and gain quick, intuitive control over all its I/O. Once networked to a PreSonus interface, the stage box auto configures for plug-and-play connectivity. You can then manage all its settings directly from your interface's UC Surface control software. The result is a streamlined set-up process and the ability to make changes on the fly during live shows or recording sessions.
