  • Good for room mics

Bought two on a buy one get one and use them as stereo room mics about 15 ft away from kit and they work well to give that space drums need. Especially when crushed sounds great. Tried as overheads and for my room SDC seem to be a bit more forgiving but the room is small so it makes sense. I had a pair of the matched steeling sdc mics as overheads for years and they also work great which made me pick these up. For the price and for home recording it's a solid mic and will record sound just fine.

  • It's exactly what you need. Affordable and good quality.

I've used this mic for 4 years now. I record from home right at my desk. I've had tons of compliments on my music, especially on how my vocals sound. I use this mic with a 10 year old 2i2. The only plugins I use are reverb, delay, and a touch of chorus. This mic does the hard part.

I bought this microphone on clearance, so I was hoping for the best but not expecting the best. This mic is clear, crisp and definitely worth what I paid for it. It's a condenser mic so it definitely picks up everything, but that's good if you need to keep the mic off the table and away from you while you're streaming or playing games with people online. Records decent VO as well.

I used it with my guitar amp, which sounded good. The mic picks up a lot of detail. When recording vocals, the mic didn't pick up much white noise, but it recorded every mouth sound and tongue movement extremely clearly. It sounds a lot better than my dynamic mic. It's built like a Maglite.

  • Great mic!!!

Yes. The mic has nothing to do with that.

Would it be beneficial to use a preamp with this microphone to enhance it's signal or is my Tascam us1x2 audio interface enough for good results?
