Old Blood Noise Endeavors

collapse expand iconDescription

The Black Fountain V3 delay effects pedal from Old Blood Noise Endeavors is an expansion from the company’s original pedal, the Black Fountain Oil Can Delay. The Black Fountain V3 captures the sound of vintage oil can delay units, which processed the instrument signal through actual oil in order to create warm, modulated repeats unlike anything else. This Black Fountain V3 features three modes and ample control over the signal.

Fantastic sounding delay with 3 modes and tap delay. I love OBNE's stuff and this is no exception.

After using the V2 for a while, I decided to upgrade to the V3 to see how it was. Right off the bat, I noticed clearer repeats and longer delay time. The subdivisions switch and the tap tempo option were an added bonus as well. If you're into darker delays and modulated textures, then this just might be the pedal for you. It's much darker than the beloved Carbon Copy, but it still has an analog delay kind of feel, with modulating oil poured over the repeats, making them dark, gooey, and haunting. Sometimes it feels more like a reverb than a delay, depending on how you play it, but it adds such a nice texture and vibe that it's hard to turn off. The three modes are all very usable, and if you're into expression pedals, then this thing has a bunch of interesting abilities for you to tweak. It's definitely a winner in my book.
