    There's not much to it. This hand drum does exactly what you would expect it to do, having the gamut of sounds an 8" drum head affords. Perfect for little ones who want to play drums but are not quite ready to sit at a kit yet, they are enjoying keeping time on this drum and discovering different sounds based on where and how hard they hit the drum. #sweepstakes

    Now I know that "kids instrument" is often code for poor quality. This hand drum is 99% plastic and a bit of paper. The sound is very sharp and loud on the ears. Not pleasant at all. No organic bounce either without the animal skin to cushion the blow. If it were made with wood and animal skin it would be the perfect beginner instrument for children and adults alike.
