collapse expand iconDescription

The Markbass MB58R 102 ENERGY bass cabinet sets the standard for portable amplifiers that deliver full, luxurious tone. The 102 ENERGY bass cab is made of a cutting-edge material that makes it incredible lightweight while also sounding much more rich than traditional cabinets. Even at full volume, the 102 ENERGY cab maintains clarity and a bone-rattling low end with smooth mids with an amazing power to weight ratio. Markbass pairs this revolutionary enclosure with 2x10" neodymium custom speakers and a 1" driver with horn for a satisfying tone suitable for any musical application. Made in Italy, the MB58R 102 ENERGY amp weighs only 24.5 lb. and works great on its own, but also makes up an amazing stack when added to another Markbass 8 ohm cab (for example, another MB58R 102 ENERGY or a MB58R 151 ENERGY, sold separately).

Been playing bass semi-professionally for over 20 years. Used so many different cabs and configurations, some provided by house but most that I bought on my own. Most of the big brand names (not going to mention specifics). For many years I have tried to like Markbass products and accumulated multiple cabinets and heads but something was always lacking in sound and I would swear never to buy Markbass again and sold it all. Never say never. I saw a product description for the new MB58R XL Energy cabs and decided to give them a try. I bought the 210 and 151 cabs (which by the way fit perfectly in a stack). When I pulled them out of the box I just laughed. I had never seen an cabinet this size weigh so little. I thought there was no way it could pack a punch with such little weight (low 30's!!). I took them to rehearsal and me and everyone else was blown away. It was the sound I was looking for after all these years!!! The fullness, tightness, bottom end, clarity and no weird coloration -- these things are beasts!!! I think I ended up paying around $1500 - $1600 for both cabinets and it was worth every cent! I just got home from playing two gigs today and realized I needed to tell all you great bass players out there deserving of great tone to showcase your craft that you need to do yourself a favor and check these amazing cabinets out! And no, this is not a paid promotion.

I'm sorry but I'm not sure. The difference between this and the XL is that horn But there is conflicting data on their web page. I need to verify with Markbass

The header description says 4 ohm but the specs say "4 or 8 ohm". What's the truth?
