Ok - First - My mono was packed really well, bag in a box with paper packing to protect in shipping. Guitarcenter Wilmington DE handled my sale, and was meticulous about it! GREAT staff there! Thanks Jason! Have used My Mono Vertigo for 3 shows, and 3 jams, which I pack the van differently for. The shows fill the van most of the way, and limited "up top" space remains for instruments. This case is perfect for that. A double might be too much. that said, I find it light, easy to maneuver and has substantial padding/protection. I was pretty wowed, and it isn't excessively bulky or large. Definitely a little larger than my standard gigbags, which I was pretty happy with. I will still use them, and they are easily adequate. This is steps well above that though. I believe I would get another, and love the Boot. It stands upright on its own - and is easy to get into, and the pocket is adequate for what I need it for. I believe I will have this for quite a while. Good job Mono and GC! 5 stars, without a second of reconsideration.

Compared to the Mono M80, I love the fact that this bass case is very basic. Just rest it at the side of your amplifier or against a wall, unzip it, and grab your bass. Forget about laying your case flat on the floor and stooping down low to open it and pick up your bass. This is specially convenient if you're playing in small venues. Again, it is as tough as it gets (nice durable padding and water proof outer surface material). The new headlock in my opinion is more stable and time saving than the neck strap in the M80. It doesn't have enough room or space for other stuff though which I believe is still good and serves its true design: compact and basic. I like how they added the boot at the bottom. You can just drop your case from your shoulder and it wouldn't hurt your precious gear. One of the best feature to me though is the anti-slip zipper. I can check this in when travelling by plane and not worry the case will be opened (provided I use padlocks on the zipper heads) since most travelling/gig bags have zippers that can be opened using a ball-tip pen or any sharp object. Yes, even with padlocks (by piercing through the closed zipper, they can easily open your bag and take what's in it then close it back). I highly recommend this case more than the M80 if you want to travel light, with less stuff, and security for your lifetime investment.

As a "shop-a-holic", I've come to fruition that "you do pay what you should get". I've had countless replacements on a lot of road runner gig bags, due to the "not-so-sturdiness" of the straps. I commute to gigs via bus, train, etc. This bag is the sum of all travelings, problematic and resolving. Worry not of the price, but nothing at all. It's a case to end all cases. Cheers.

I was a need of cases for my Pedulla Buzz Fretless and my MTD Kingston CRB basses. I've purchased "decent" gig bags in the past; you get what you pay for. The neck support, shock absorption bottom and the "Vertigo" top load/unload is great. Worth the price; I see them lasting decades!

This case is expansive but worth the money. I got this because I was tired of having to clear floor space or find a table to set my hard bass case down. you know what I'm talking about the cases are just huge.
walk in, set it down, bass slides right out the top. you get to leave the case leaning out of the way. so much easier on my back to throw this over my shoulders and frees up your hands for carrying more stuff. it looks great too! Holds my lakland dj4 perfectly. The outside pocked is perfect for a couple folders, cables, etc. I do wishit had a little more storage but it's more that your average hard case. I'll probably buy the mono tick bag to carry all my pedals and other random items.

I bought the Vertigo bass case for my daughter's Musicman Stingray Stealth so she could have the best protection and ease of hauling it as she takes it with her to her college campus this fall. It definitely fits the bill! Obviously not the cheapest "gig bag" out there but you definitely get the protection and quality that comes with a higher price tag. It really gives me piece of mind knowing she'll be walking around campus with this bag/case protecting her "baby".
