The Meinl Foot Tambourine Steel Jingles, a versatile percussion accessory that lets you keep the beat hands-free. With its mountable footboard and sensitive steel jingles, the FJS2S makes it easy to incorporate percussion into any musical act. Whether you're an acoustic guitarist in a coffee shop, a rock drummer looking to expand your kit's sonic palette, or a percussionist whose hands are busy keeping time, the Meinl FJS2S provides an opportunity to add the distinctive tambourine tone to your performance with just the tap of your foot.

Steel Jingles Provide Crisp, Sensitive Tone

The FJS2S features four pairs of steel jingles mounted to an impact-resistant footboard, delivering a bright, sensitive tone with every tap. Adjust the footboard's angle to your liking, then start tapping out rhythms to accompany your playing. The steel jingles respond instantly for tight, rhythmic control. Their bright tone cuts through mixes, allowing you to provide rhythmic accompaniment without overpowering other instruments.

Versatile and Portable Design

Weighing in at just 1 pound, the FJS2S is lightweight enough to transport easily to gigs or jam sessions. Its compact 8.25" x 5.25" footboard mounts securely to the ground with removable rubber feet, allowing you to quickly set up and start playing. The footboard's angle is also adjustable, so you can customize the feel to match your playing style. When not in use, the FJS2S disassembles for space-efficient storage.

Add Rhythm Without Adding Gear

For musicians looking to expand their sound without investing in a full drum kit or percussion rig, the Meinl FJS2S provides an ideal solution. It's a simple, affordable way to add rhythmic accompaniment to your playing using gear you already own. Tap along to keep time, accentuate your performance's rhythm, or get creative by improvising rhythmic patterns and fills. The FJS2S helps turn a single instrument into a one-person rhythm section, no drumming skills required.

People love it!

I am a professional singer troubadour. But I love to sing for small groups as a one-man-band. I have a bass drum attached to my right heal. and the Foot cymbal on my left foot. I play guitar and sing. Talks a little practice. But man, its a fun sound. People really go crazy!

Poorly constructed

The strap securing the tambourine lasted one rehearsal with light use. It broke at the very beginning of the performance when putting it on my foot. The zills easily escape the retaining pins and fell off. DO NOT BUY for any reason.

It's simple but adds & expands your sound & rhythm patterns nicely by keeping your hands free to continue laying out your groove.
