They fail immediately if not sooner. Waste of money, time and resources.
Much better than the essential line, but not perfect

I use these to send headphone lines all around the studio. I first bought the livewire essential headphone extenders, but those jacks were completely unusable. The connection to a standard 1/4in headphone cable was very loose, so the signal would cut in and out. I replaced those with the Elite version. And found these to be significantly better, though not perfect. With normal use, the connection was solid, but the plugs do jostle around slightly in the jacks, so with enough movement they do cut in and out as well. So far it hasn't been an issue in the studio, but I can imagine with a very animated drummer or percussionist, these might cut in and out occasionally as well Definitely don't waste your time with the essential line, just spend the extra money to get these. #sweepstakes

I purchased one of these last summer and it lasted about a month before one of the channels stopped working. Just bought a second one and right out of the box the left channel's shot.
Works great.

I've gone through 3 cables similar to this and they all fail by the wires fatiguing at the overmolded strain relief. None of them could be repaired and I couldn't find a 3mm connector end to replace the overmold. This cable has metal connectors that unscrew like audio cables so you can repair the wires. Since they aren't overmolded they may not need to be repaired for years.
