bought it for a 90's Aria Pro acoustic electric that I am not liking the built in bridge piezo pickup etc, well this pickup just fit in the bridge position but that's where I actually pick. I will probably wind up returning it. I removed it and the sticky tape came off for the most part. I did see if it would fit better without most of the tape on the back which adds about a millimeter or so of height and it seems better. I really wanted for the neck position. If I can make a really think mount of some type I might keep it but at this point I think I will return it. While I had it in the bridge position I noticed even there the string would touch the pickup when I picked so it isn't looking promising... it did sound great though for a pickup with no volume or tone controls, it has a bright yet mellow tone. The only option will be too clean off the bottom of the pickup entirely then mount it with glue onto an extremely thin piece of plastic or paperboard material then tape that down lol... it seems to just fit at the neck position without the sticky tape as mentioned, so some solution like this might work. My plan if they fit was to buy two and rewire them to tone/volume pots like a typical Gibson LP etc, but I don't know if that will work now. I do know that these are designed for acoustic of resonator guitars which typically have higher action for slide playing, so they work for that application fine I suppose but for acoustic electric I'm thinking these aren't ideal at least not for my guitar.
Yes I would purchase these again.

Low profile, easy to install. Used in Bluegrass and Country Band when I play in a large room. They sound great and do not change the acoustic sound of the resonators.
Nice Pickup for the Money - Didn't Fit

Plugged it in. Sounded great (especially for the money). Sadly it caused the strings to hit the pick up as you got close to it. It was "just a bit too thick" to work. So I would recommend but not for my particular use.

purchased this pickup for permanent installation in my Republic resonator guitar. when I received it, it was different than what is shown in picture. actual item no longer made (I called Lace Sensor). now has plastic molded 1/4 jack with slot for guitar strap button to mount on guitar. no longer available with option of threads with ability to mount permanent or temporary. not sure why option to permanently no longer available since pickup is mounted with double sided tape and likely very difficult to remove. to mount permanent I needed to cut of existing 1/4 jack and solder cable to a permanent jack I had available. works great. other than that no complaints.

Do you think this would work inside the soundboard of my Rees Fullsicle Harp?
This model has an extremely low profile (.275" tall) for all resonator applications.
