The KAT Percussion KTMP1 Multipad drum module is a versatile instrument perfect for drummers, percussionists, DJs and more. This single module provides 50 studio-quality sounds across four responsive pads, allowing you to add electronic tones to an acoustic drum kit, trigger a wide range of percussion samples or craft beats on the fly. Thanks to the KTMP1's intuitive interface, you can fully customize each sound by adjusting tuning, panning, reverb, sensitivity and volume.

Expand Your Set-Up in an Instant

Whether you want to augment your drum set with electronic sounds or build an electronic percussion rig from scratch, the KTMP1 has you covered. Its compact, portable design means you can add this module to any existing set-up or use it as a standalone unit. The KTMP1 also has MIDI capability, so you can easily integrate it into a more complex electronic music system.

Shape Your Sounds with Precision

With the KTMP1, you have full control over the module's 50 on-board sounds. Easily adjust tuning up or down, pan sounds left or right, increase or decrease reverb, modify sensitivity for softer or louder playing, and control overall volume. This level of customization means you can craft each sound to perfectly match your needs. The sounds themselves cover a wide range, including various drums, percussion, and synth tones.

Perform and Practice with a Versatile Pad

Whether you want to use the KTMP1 Multipad for live performance, studio work or practice, its four responsive pads provide a dynamic playing surface. The pads are playable with hands or sticks and provide consistent, accurate triggering of the on-board sounds. For percussionists and electronic musicians, the KTMP1 offers an affordable, portable way to expand your tonal palette during live shows or when composing in the studio. For drummers, it's an ideal way to quietly practice rudiments and stick control at home.

A Complete Package for Musicians on the Move

The KTMP1 module comes with everything you need to get started, including an AC adapter, stereo outputs, headphone output, and MIDI in/out. Its compact, durable design means you can easily transport the KTMP1 to gigs, the studio or band practice. A variety of accessories are also available to expand the KTMP1's capabilities, including pedals, stands, cables and more. Available now at Guitar Center, get your KTMP1 today.

Has dropouts

I just got this. When I play a steady 8th note pattern with sticks on one pad, and steady quarter notes against in on a different Pad, some of the quarter notes are silent. Has nothing to do with sensitivity setting. Unacce-table. Not sure if it just my model. Also, no presets.

Bought this "product" years back and just commenting now. Day 1-The mapping was inaccurate, there's crosstalk, and if I hit 2 pads at once, there's cutoff. If you are looking at this for your gigs, spend a bit more. Now I just use as an expensive practice pad.

I noticed that when I hit the snare and hi hat the EXACT same time it mutes the snare. Super annoying. Messaged the manufacturer and 0 response.

Kat Pads work well with other drum machines via midi... I've seen some reviews giving them a negative for not firing or for firing the adjacent pad sound... this has not happened for me... although I am not a professional drummer using them heavily, I personally like them and think they are worth the price...

While not the highest tech equipment out there, the sounds and ability to manipulate tone are really all you need if your goal is recording, especially if you're using a program with built in tones as well. Only 50 sounds programmed into this machine, but works great as a midi.

I’m sorry, I don’t know. I don't have one to check. You need to measure your KAT. The SC-EEMP measures ---- Post (down tube) diameter: 22 mm (7/8") Post (down tube) length: 37 mm (1.45") Hole spacing dimensions 2-3/4" (70mm) x 3-15/16" (100mm).

There are a lot of different sounds available, and you can assign different ones to each pad. So you can use Bass, snare, Tom and Cymbals in any particular order as you want to have them in.
