collapse expand iconDescription

The JBL JRX212M 12" two-way passive loudspeaker system, a portable stage monitor that delivers professional-level power and clarity at an affordable price. The JRX212M is equipped with a 12" low-frequency driver and 1" compression driver, providing a combined 1,000W of peak power and 98dB sensitivity for loud, full-range sound. JBL's Progressive Transition waveguide offers constant 90° horizontal and 50° vertical dispersion for balanced coverage across the frequency range.

High-Power Components for Premium Performance

The JRX212M's 12" woofer and 1" compression driver can handle up to 1,000W of peak power, enabling high-volume monitoring for any live performance. With 98dB sensitivity, the JRX212M requires less power to reach optimal volume levels, allowing it to pair well with lower-powered amplifiers while still achieving maximum output. The woofer's large voice coil also improves power handling and reduces distortion at higher volumes.

Smooth, Even Coverage From JBL Waveguide

JBL's Progressive Transition waveguide mates to the 1" compression driver for consistent 90° horizontal and 50° vertical dispersion across the JRX212M's frequency range. The waveguide's constant coverage and smooth frequency response ensure balanced, full-range monitoring for musicians across the stage.

Road-Ready Design

The JRX212M is built to withstand the rigors of live performance and frequent transportation. It features an all-steel handle and pole mount, as well as a rugged enclosure, perforated steel grille and durable components. A pole mount allows the JRX212M to sit atop a speaker stand or subwoofer.

Affordable Professional Performance

While the JRX212M offers professional-grade power, coverage and durability, it is available at an affordable price. Musicians and venues seeking a premium stage monitoring solution will appreciate the JRX212M's high-performance components and roadworthiness at a budget-friendly cost.

collapse expand iconFeatures

  • JBL 12" low-frequency driver with a 2.5" diameter edgewound ribbon voice coil which provides more cross-sectional wire area in the voice-coil gap than round wire designs, for greater efficiency and power handling
  • JBL 2414H-C 1" polymer diaphragm compression driver improves high-frequency performance as well as system reliability
  • The advanced network topology crossover design shapes frequency response and delivers "coherent summation" in the crossover region
  • High-voltage capacitors and inductors with massive cores and heavy gauge wire enable the crossover network to handle high power without saturating
  • Progressive Transition high frequency waveguide provides superior coverage control, reduced distortion, and smoother frequency response
  • The rugged, acoustically superior enclosure is constructed from .75" MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) using advanced adhesives and mechanical fastener technology for extreme durability and improved low-frequency performance
  • SonicGuard protects the high frequency driver from excess power without interrupting the performance
  • Non-resonant, all-steel handles are used
  • Attractive 18-gauge hexagon perforated, steel grille protects components from damage
  • Dual-angle pole-mount socket allows the speaker to tilt 10for more uniform audience coverage

A pair of 212s are perfect for mixing bluegrass bands (no drums). Not the best low end. but is seriously perfect for bluegrass. Most sound guys give bluegrass bands wayyy to much bass anyways. Fiddle, Banjo, Mandolin, Upright Bass. Minus one star for the speaker jack being on top

  • Great clean sounding speakers at an affordable price.

  • Not for theater application

I have had many home speakers in my "theaters" throughout my life, and have always wondered about the dynamics and efficiency of pro audio speakers for that application. I still think it a good idea, but these aren't the ones. After balancing the system I tried a couple of songs, then part of a movie. Thought I was on to something until the theme music on the next movie. At certain (resonant) frequencies, the speakers would howl- causing me to run for the remote to turn the volume down. Really wanted to like these, but that was a deal breaker.
