The Ibanez AS113 Artstar semi-hollow electric guitar is designed to suit a wide variety of genres, with pickups mounted directly to the center block for increased sustain and feedback elimination. It features a 3-piece nyatoh/maple neck for a rich mid-low end and powerful resonance. The Macassar ebony fingerboard delivers tight lows along with strong attack in the highs, and quick response with rich sustain. The AS113 semi-hollow pairs a spruce top with flamed maple back and sides for a combination of enriched response and bright attack. Its sound is powered by a pair of Super 58 humbucking pickups along with a Tri-sound switch for additional humbucker sound options and increased versatility. Additional features include a Gibraltar Artist bridge, made of a lightweight aluminum frame with zinc saddles for natural tone and tuning stability, and a Quik Change III tailpiece for faster, easier string changing.
