Honeytone

collapse expand iconDescription

The Honeytone N-10 Guitar Mini Amp from Danelectro is a pint-sized 1.5W combo amp packs surprising punch and a wealth of useful features for guitarists on the go. Measuring just 5.5" x 3.5" x 2.5", the N-10 slips easily into any gig bag or backpack, ready to provide crisp, full-range tone at a moment's notice. An integrated belt clip and leather handle make the amp easy to transport wherever inspiration may strike.

Shape Your Sound With Tone and Overdrive Controls

Despite its diminutive size, the N-10 gives you masterful control over your guitar tone. A tone knob lets you dial in the perfect balance of treble and bass frequencies, while a three-position Overdrive switch takes you from pristine cleans to saturated bluesy growl. Engage the N-10's headphone jack for quiet practice, or unleash your sound through the mini amp's 2.5" speaker.

Road-Ready and Built to Last

The N-10 is ready to hit the road at a moment's notice. It runs on a standard 9V battery, so you'll never be without power. And thanks to its rugged steel casing and leather accents, this mini amp is built to withstand the rigors of frequent gigging and transport. For over 60 years, Danelectro has been producing innovative, road-tested gear and the N-10 upholds that tradition of quality, reliability and great tone in a compact, affordable package.

A Modern Classic

With its aqua finish and retro-inspired design, the N-10 Guitar Mini Amp looks as great as it sounds. It's a modern take on a classic Danelectro amp from the 1950s, updated with useful features for today's player. Whether you need a portable amp for busking or a backup for small gigs, the Danelectro Honeytone N-10 delivers classic tone and style in a size that fits in the palm of your hand.

Good for the money.

I recently got this amp at my local guitar shop. I definitely was impressed; with the price and the looks, what was not to like? I got it for when I want to go play at the beach or street perform. It's definitely good for that. It looks sweet and is very portable. However, as far as sound goes, it is mediocre at best. If you want to play with it at more than about 1/3 its maximum volume, you will start to hear that dreaded "growling" sound, even when the overdrive is off. The overdrive sounds weak and just makes the unwanted "growling" noise all the more prominent. The tone knob doesn't do much of anything. I won't comment on the range of sound--after all, it says on the box that it is built only for "vintage" sound. All I can tell you is that you should not buy this if you are looking to play a wide range of styles. However, for quiet jamming with friends or playing somewhere without an outlet, this thing is great. It looks retro (I prefer the "yellow" and "aqua" colors myself), you can take it anywhere, and you can't beat it for the price. Just think long and hard about what you want to use it for before buying it, because you will be sorely disappointed if you are looking for anything that you will want to use regularly.

Bought this for my 5 year old to jam with on his Ibanez Mikro. Perfect little amp for that, and just to take along and not use up any space. He loves the sound that he can get at his age. If you're looking for portability or just another little amp that runs on a battery then I fully recommend this!
