Harbinger

collapse expand iconDescription

Harbinger VARI Live is an expandable, powered speaker system that evolves right along with your performance requirements. Transport, setup, configuration and real-time operations are incredibly simple, swift and intuitive. Whether you’re a solo artist just starting to play out, or an experienced band looking to upgrade the impact of your live shows, Harbinger VARI Live speakers deliver a wide frequency spectrum with exceptional detail and signal dispersion that can fill small- to medium-sized spaces. The V2410’s onboard Class-D amplifier unleashes 100 watts of RMS power (400 watts peak power) through a 10" low-frequency driver and a 1" tweeter. However, the V2410 isn’t just a speaker. In fact, the VARI designation gives away its readiness for varied applications, as the V2410 includes a built-in mixer, selectable voicing (transform from a main speaker to a monitor or link up to an external subwoofer), Bluetooth playback and even a charge jack to power up mobile devices.

Harbinger V2410 Mixer

Built-in Stereo Mixer With Bluetooth Connectivity

A single Harbinger VARI Live V2410 is an ideal and highly portable system for singer-songwriters. The onboard mixer can manage up to five simultaneous sources, which means a solo performer can plug in a guitar or keyboard and a vocal mic, as well as deploy Bluetooth or a laptop to play ancillary backing tracks. It’s not a problem if you need more inputs for a bigger group, a looper-based gig that requires several instruments or a multi-faceted DJ rig. Simply incorporate an external mixer by using the V2410’s balanced stereo inputs.

Harbinger V2410 Bluetooth

Bluetooth Stereo Linking

The Harbinger VARI Live line lets you rock a wireless—no speaker cables needed—right-left stereo pair by linking two V2410s via Bluetooth. The feature is designed for those times when you are using Bluetooth audio as the only sound source, such as streaming a music playlist or running a DJ setup via a Bluetooth device.

Harbinger V2410 Smart Stereo

Link Two Speakers With Smart Stereo

If you’re using a V2410 to amplify multiple instruments and/or vocals, you can easily connect two VARI Live speakers with a single mic cable using Smart Stereo. In this configuration, one V2410 handles up to five simultaneous inputs, EQ and other settings, while Smart Stereo sends the audio to a second V2410 for an expansive stereo sound. Whether you use Bluetooth stereo linking or Smart Stereo, an available output jack on the V2410 makes it a breeze to add a Harbinger VARI Live subwoofer to the system.

Harbinger V2410 DSP

Automatic DSP Voicings Plus Seamless Subwoofer Integration

As flexibility is one of the hallmarks of the VARI Live system, the V2410 isn’t limited to use as a main speaker. Selectable DSP voicings let you determine whether a V2410 sees action as a main or monitor speaker, and the speaker EQ is automatically adjusted to suit a conventional PA mode or a flat-on-the-floor, wedge-like position. In addition, you can seamlessly integrate a subwoofer into the system by choosing Sub Cut, which ensures an optimum crossover frequency between the speaker and sub. All three voicings can be further dialed in with the V2410’s bass and treble controls. DSP is also on hand to manage a transparent limiter for system protection.

Harbinger VARI Live Series Family

A Complete Line of Room-Filling Speakers

Harbinger VARI Live offers a number of configurations so that your system can “grow up” with you as your PA needs progress throughout your career. Perhaps start with V2410 or V2408 (if you want a slightly smaller and lighter system) speakers for coffee shops, cafés and small venues. Go with the V3412 and V3415 series when you move up to bigger clubs or larger engagements and use your 2000-series speakers as monitors. When you need more boom or dance floor-quaking lows, add a VS12 or VS18 subwoofer (or a stereo pair) to really get the audience jumping. The Harbinger VARI Live’s audio-enhancing DSP and stress-free connectivity ensure that no matter what size system you build, the sound will be cinematic, immersive, impactful and 100-percent awesome.

Good for any situation!

This speaker is great for anyone who needs a professional PA in a lightweight package. A pair of these is easy to transport and has a ton of features that make them versatile enough for any situation. They get loud enough for most band and DJ gigs where a PA isn't provided, and the smart stereo feature can help keep your cabling neat depending on where your mixer is placed. They also make great stage monitors, and have DSP settings specifically for floor placement. The bluetooth stereo linking also makes these great for parties, or any situation where you're just playing music through bluetooth - getting true stereo without having to physically connect the speakers to each other makes setup easy and keeps your walkways clear of cables.

It's a great, light weight way to go to the show. Easy to manage and loud enough for a crowded restaurant gig.

Overall, these things pack a punch for how small and lightweight these are. I would say that these are excellent use for acoustic sets, parties, DJ indoor/outdoor, and karaoke. If you have a loud drummer though, you're going to need bigger speakers. I bought a pair of these to play with my 3-piece band (Guitar, Bass, and Drums) and these were not loud enough for vocals. It makes sense because these peak at 120db. I used Shure 58A into a Harbinger LV8 mixer. I'll be upgrading to a pair of Harbinger V3412 speakers since they produce 128db. Overall I absolutely love the lightweight to sound ratio, but I need something louder for floor monitors.

The Harbinger VARI V2410 is a 10" powered PA speaker designed for general PA use, and while it can handle bass guitar in small, low-volume settings, it's not ideal for regular use as a bass amp or for high-volume performance. Here’s a breakdown: What It Can Handle: Practice volumes or small acoustic-style gigs with moderate bass levels. Low to moderate SPL bass signals—especially if you're using EQ or DSP to roll off sub-lows. Playback or monitoring of recorded bass or full-range audio at moderate volume. Limitations: 10" woofer doesn’t move enough air for deep, punchy bass at gig volume. You’ll miss low-end thump. Long-term use with bass at high volume could risk overloading or damaging the speaker. No built-in limiter designed specifically for instrument input, unlike a true bass amp or cabinet. Tips If You Use It for Bass: High-pass filter (HPF): Use the onboard DSP to reduce frequencies below 50–60 Hz. Volume moderation: Keep your output below 70–80% to avoid speaker stress. Preamp/DI with cab sim: Run your bass through a preamp or DI box with cabinet emulation to smooth the tone and avoid harsh highs or overly boomy lows.

What's the difference between the Mix out & Link out and can I assume they are both passive?

    1) ROUTING::: - Normal (Mono): This speaker will output mono audio. - Stereo Master: This speaker will operate as the master (left) speaker of a Smart Stereo pair. Use a mic cable to connect this speaker’s LINK OUT to the INPUT 1 jack of a second speaker of the same type. All inputs should be connected to the first master speaker, which will also set the volume and tone of both speakers. - Link In: Use this setting for the second speaker of a Smart Stereo pair. The audio from INPUT 1 will be routed directly to the power amp and speaker, with all other inputs and controls being ignored. This can also be used to accept mono audio from a previous speaker, with that previous speaker determining volume and tone. 2) Yes, they're line level.

What's the PERFECT or BEST setup for these speakers as floor monitors? We have these currently at church but there's a "hissing" and when we're using tracks/stems the sound goes in/out?

That would depend on what the event is. A pair of 10's and a pair of 8's isn't much for outdoors.

It will "work". Bass guitars hit hard. How loud do you need to be? The frequency response is there. It'll hit a low note.

Probably not a fair question, but why does the Harbinger vari v3412 sound so much better than the Harbinger vari V2410 speaker? The difference is more than simply the speaker size.

I don't know. Perhaps an inquiry to Harbinger. Thay spec at 120 dB and 128. That's a big difference.

The outputs are the same. However, an amp doesn't "push" power. It pulls it. What comes out is directly related to what goes in.
