Excellent choice for Gretsch guitars already equipped with Schaller Strap Lock buttons, or it's a great deal if you have several straps that you like and don't want to pay the extra $15 for a complete set from Shaller with the buttons included. I've used these strap locks for 40+ years without a failure. Strapping on is effortless and releasing becomes second-nature within a few uses.

The problem I have with this particular item is not the quality. There are a number of brands that sell this exact same item including Fender, ProLine, and Schaller. Schaller are the originals, and it seems the other brands are simply rebranding the Schallers. Look closely and you'll see this is the same Schaller strap lock simply put into different brand packages. But, the major problem is that each brand includes different accessories in the bag, like different length screws, or felt pads to protect the guitars finish. Schaller is the original and most pricey. You have to be CAREFUL which one you buy, because not all of these brands include the button that goes on the guitar, which you HAVE to have in order to use the locks. This set doesn't include the buttons, so how in the world are you going to use it? You can't. You'll pay a lower price only to discover you now have to buy the buttons. I was so duped by a Fender branded Schaller strap lock. They were a great price, however, no button were included. If you look on this site you'll find the Fender branded locks and that one includes the locks, screws, buttons, and felt protectors in chrome only for only $15. The Schaller brand comes in black, nickel for $25 and gold for $30. That's a big price difference. These Gretsch locks are $17, but no buttons!

my friend has this and i only used it a little, but it is easy to take on and off, but your guitar won't accidentally fall out. i plan on getting a set soon. it's good cause you don't need to mess with your axe

I've tried using these over Fender original buttons but I can't get them to "lock" in. Any help would be appreciated!
