Dual Black Top Broad'TronTM Pickups Provide Articulate Tone
The G5655TG's dual Black Top Broad'Tron humbucking pickups deliver bold, dynamic, and articulate tone with enhanced sonic punch. With a 3-position toggle switch, you can choose between the bridge pickup, bridge and neck pickups together, or the neck pickup alone for a range of tones from bright and cutting to warm and rounded.
Playability and Style in One Package
Offering excellent playability, the G5655TG has a 12" radius laurel fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets and NeoClassic thumbnail inlays. This guitar boasts stage-stealing style with a stunning Azure Metallic finish and gleaming gold hardware, including the Bigsby B70 vibrato tailpiece, anchored Adjusto-MaticTM bridge, and G-arrow knobs.
Familiar Feel, Iconic Sound
With a thinner U-shaped neck profile, the G5655TG has a familiar feel for players accustomed to solid-body electrics. However, its hollowbody design and chambered spruce center block produce the iconic resonant Gretsch tone. Combining the best of both worlds, this model is ideal for players seeking a bold, dynamic sound in a comfortable, lightweight form.
Premium Appointments and Versatile Tonal Options
Premium appointments like the gold plexi pickguard, die-cast tuners, and gold hardware provide visual flair and durability. Master volume and tone controls enable you to fine-tune your tone, while the included gig bag protects your investment. The Gretsch Guitars G5655TG offers versatile tonal options, iconic style, and high-performance functionality.

Be Careful with Strap buttons
Strap buttons are not good craftsmanship. I had to get some custom work done on mine after just a couple months and had strap locks put on. Now that the strap locks are on it's awesome!!!! Gretsch should build each guitar with strap locks. This should be standard.

Sounds great, even unplugged. Stays in tune, looks great, lightweight, not bulky. Large variety of tones can be achieved. Definitely pleased with the purchase.

I'm pretty disappointed that the black gold color is actually just a metallic brown. I guess I've learned my lesson to never order a guitar online again.
I would buy this product again

This guitar was awesome looking cosmetically! Plays extremely well and has enough "pop" in volume. Always wanted a Gretsch!! Only draw back was that a case was not offered for this guitar.

I live in Van Nuys, CA, I'd like to know what is the nearest guitar center that has this guitar (azure metallic) in-store so I can see it and play it personally before buying it.
This guitar should be available in most Guitar Center store locations but we have no way of knowing for sure which stores would have it. You may want to contact the store directly to confirm availability.submitted5 years ago

What is the "blemish" on this particular guitar?
Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing what the blemish is. However, it would only be a minor cosmetic flaw and would not effect the guitars play ability.submitted6 years ago
