Gibson

collapse expand iconDescription

Gibson offers the ES-335 Satin Semi-Hollow electric guitar, a modern incarnation of the iconic instrument that shaped music. The ES-335 defined the semi-hollowbody electric guitar category upon its introduction in 1958 and has been the cornerstone of the Gibson ES lineup ever since. The ES-335 Satin transports players to that golden era of music with its vintage-inspired design and tones, upgraded for contemporary playing feel and reliability.

Classic Semi-Hollowbody Design and Finish

The ES-335 Satin features Gibson's classic double-cutaway semi-hollowbody shape crafted from maple/poplar/maple for resonant, balanced tone. Its vintage satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish and nickel hardware recall the era that gave rise to its legendary sound.

Premium Playability and Tuning

A mahogany set neck with a rounded C profile and rosewood fretboard with 22 Plek'd medium jumbo frets provide a comfortable playing feel for effortless soloing and chords. An ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with titanium saddles and Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone Buttons keep the ES-335 Satin rock-solid in tune through the most intense performances.

Authentic Gibson Pickups and Electronics

The ES-335 Satin features a pair of Calibrated T-Type humbucking pickups for a range of classic Gibson tones from warm and rounded to punchy. Individual Volume and Tone controls for each pickup and a three-way toggle switch provide flexibility to shape your sound.

Road-Ready Gig Bag Included

A high-quality hardshell case is included to keep your ES-335 Satin secure as you transport it between rehearsals, studio sessions and shows. Available at Guitar Center, pick up your ES-335 today.

Fret buzz was a problem.. especially with the low E strong in the higher frets... 12th to the 15th. The fretboard also felt rough and unfinished, it felt especially rough when bending or vibrato...and because it was rough it was noisy, like scraping wire on rough wood.

Very impressed - have had it for a couple of weeks now - very well built with so much attention to detail; very easy to play - and sounds great both with and without an amp - it feels like a 'professional level' guitar - now I just have to get my skills up to the same level!

Played this guitar in a couple of recording sessions, then took it out live at an outdoor gig. EVERYONE commented on how great it sounded, how good it looked, and how happy I seemed to be playing it. I've lusted after a 335 for 40 years, and finally traded in or sold several guitars to get it. Though I was sad to see the others go, I could not be happier with my new toy. I finally have found the guitar Holy Grail!
