I've had a 1997 Strat plus with Lace Sensor pickups for over 2 decades and when I Saw this James Burton Tele with the red paisley flames it just screamed my name. Right out of the box this axe was spot on in tune. The setup was exceptional and I now have my two dream guitars!
Just buy this thing. You will not be disappointed.

So I've owned the James Burton Tele for 2 years now. To be honest when choosing this guitar I did so because of the reviews. Well, that and the cool paisley flames. This guitar is Fenders best kept secret. I own Gibsons, Gretsch's, Ibanez and another fender. The JB tele is absolutely amazing. Playability is off the chart. Tonal range is insane. Push the J switch button and you can even play hard rock on this baby. The cleans shimmer unlike any of my other guitars, it even out shimmers my Anniversary edition 6118 gretsch. This guitar does not go out of tune...ever...The neck finish is like butter. James Burton was not messing around when he spec'd this guitar. If you're lookin for a Tele, give this bad boy a try. All of the reviews on this guitar are 100% accurate. So glad I came across them. This guitar deserves 11 stars.

Bought used from a friend who bought it new at GC I just had to have it! This is the perfect guitar if you are in a cover band like I am. I used to swap off between my les paul and my strat and had to plan set list accordingly. This can give me a very paul-like sound or a very strat-like sound and does both justice. Love love the neck as well,, probably my favorite ever. I do prefer the locking tuners on the American Elites, but they do not have these great pickups. Do not but this is you want an authentic tele sound. This guy can squeak and squawk nicely, but does not have that tele twang. Do buy it if you want to have the best of the Les Paul / strat world's. I have owned several strats, Pauls and teles and have liked or loved most of them. But this one is my all time favorite ever. So much fun to play and to have it sound so good!
