Exploring the American Vintage II 1960 Precision Bass | American Vintage II | Fender

Description
The Fender American Vintage II 1960 Precision Bass is a premium reissue of the iconic electric bass guitar that shaped the sound of early rock and roll. This vintage-inspired bass provides a remarkably accurate reproduction of the revolutionary design and tone that altered the course of music history. Now available with modern enhancements for playability, the American Vintage II 1960 Precision Bass allows musicians and collectors alike to experience the classic style and sound of Fender's golden era.
Authentic 1960 Precision Bass Styling
The American Vintage II 1960 Precision Bass features a meticulously crafted alder body with period-correct contours and a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish in your choice of Daphne Blue, Olympic White, Black or 3-Color Sunburst. A C-shaped hard rock maple neck provides a comfortable playing feel, topped with a 7.25" radius rosewood fingerboard and vintage-style frets. Clay dot inlays, a bone nut and nickel/chrome hardware complete the vintage-inspired aesthetic.
Pure Vintage Pickup for Legendary Tone
At the heart of the American Vintage II 1960 Precision Bass lies its Pure Vintage '60 Split-Coil pickup, specially voiced to capture the quintessential tone of an early '60s P Bass. With its punchy, growling midrange and articulate low end, this pickup delivers the sound that defined the electric bass and influenced generations of musicians.
Modern Upgrades for Playability
While authentically recreating a vintage classic, Fender incorporated modern enhancements to improve playability. A slim, comfortable neck profile and 9.5" fingerboard radius provide a slick playing feel. The truss rod has also been updated for today's playing styles and string gages. These upgrades make the American Vintage II 1960 Precision Bass ideal for musicians seeking a vintage-style bass with modern performance.

What is the weight of this Fender Precision Bass?
All basses vary depending on the density of the wood. Even the same model can vary up to 1.5 lbs Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Bass Guitars are generally between 8.00 and 10.00 lbs. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. I'm sorry I don't have one to weigh. This will be approximately 8.5 – 9.5 lbs.submitted2 years ago
