EVANS Genera HD Dry Batter coated snare head yields an aggressive rimshot and balanced response. This durable two-ply head (7.5-mil external, 5-mil internal) with 2-mil overtone control ring barks live, yet is ideal for the studio. Additional dry vents eliminate stray harmonics.

Great Head

This head is great if you are looking to get rid of all the High End Screachy Overtones, but still have a lively head that isnt dull and lifeless. I use this head on my 7x13 Tama Maple Artwood Limited, and it sounds good at all kinds of different tunings, although I prefer the sound this head proivides at High Tension tunings. Even if you Prefer Remo Drum heads (or some other brand) for all the rest of your drums like me, this is an exceptional head and you won't find another like it.

Would not buy again

A bit too muffled, especially for my metal snares. I have found the ST Dry to be perfect on Aluminum, Copper, Bronze and Steel.

Amazing durability. This head provides the perfect amount of dampening, tone and durability. The dampening on the head is enough that half of a standard moongel will take out the little bit of ring completely. When I play live this head SINGS, no need for extra dampening.

Personally enjoy how Anika Nilles drums sound and searched for her equipment. I am a heavy hitter tho and used to use the Heavyweight but this HD DRY gives me what is needed and has still been good to me.

The air vents provide a nice focused sustain with a warm balanced tone. I can feel the thickness quality as I'm playing that I really enjoy. This snare head will change up your sound, great price and quality. #sweepstakes

Probably not. It's not designed for it and will probably not sound very good.
