collapse expand iconDescription

The Ernie Ball Super Slinky Nickel Wound electric guitar strings provide a tone and feel designed to inspire. Constructed of nickel-plated steel, these strings deliver a warm yet articulate voice that adapts readily to any genre or style. Their signature Super Slinky gauges, ranging from .009 to .042, produce balanced tension for effortless bending and solid low notes. Whether you play rock, blues, jazz or country, the Super Slinky 2223 strings will keep your tone dynamic and responsive.

Tight, Balanced Tension Maximizes Playability

With Super Slinky gauges from .009 to .042, these strings provide balanced tension for optimum playability. The lighter top end allows for silky-smooth string bending, vibrato and fretting, while the heavier bottom end provides enough tension for defined, resonant low notes. This combination gives players the best of both worlds—a slinky feel up top and taut lows down below.

Nickel-Plated Steel Produces a Warm, Articulate Voice

The nickel-plated steel composition of the Super Slinky 2223 strings delivers a tone that is both warm and articulate. The nickel plating adds richness and depth, while the steel core provides clarity and cut. This blend helps each note ring out with beautiful, harmonically complex overtones. Whether you're tearing up a searing lead or comping jazzy chords, these strings keep your tone musical and responsive.

A Versatile Set for Any Musical Style

With their balanced gauges and nickel-plated steel construction, Super Slinky 2223 strings readily adapt to any genre. The slinky feel and tight low end work equally well for rock riffs and country bends. The warmth pairs nicely with the woody tone of a semi-hollow or archtop, while the clarity cuts through high-gain distortion. Whatever your style, the dynamic voice and playability of these strings will feed your creativity.

Premium Quality and Legendary Performance

For over 50 years, Ernie Ball strings have been a top choice for players of all types. When you open a pack of Super Slinky 2223 strings, you know you're getting a premium set of strings designed to provide great tone, reliable performance and long life. You can't go wrong with the legendary quality of Ernie Ball.

THE BEST

I've been playing guitar for about a year and the best I had ever used were Boomers, and the only others I had used were Fender and Gibson Brite wires. I just bought these the other day and they changed my guitars sound completly. Before I had Boomers and they sounded ok, but i wanted something better that had a crisper sound and these were it. With distortion they have alot of crunch and on clean they sound really glassy, and they bend very easily. Bottom line, these are THE BEST!

Good for cheap strings, however...

I buy these strings when I am going to be performing a full maintenance check and full set up on my guitar. Low priced and solid strings. However, the No. 9 gauge high E string breaks rather easy. Could have been my own fault, but it happened twice during intonation.

Hi! I have been playing the Pink pack of Super Slinky strings since I first started playing the guitar in the late 2000's! As a beginner trying to find my sound, I tried a multitude of products. The pink caught my eye and I have been playing the super slinky's ever since! #sweepstakes
