The Ernie Ball Paradigm Skinny Top Heavy Bottom Electric Guitar Strings are the world's most advanced and durable string sets. Since 1962, Ernie Ball has been dedicated to producing high-quality guitar strings that shape the sound of rock music. Continuing this passion for innovation, the Paradigm strings are the first to feature a 90-day guarantee against breakage and rust. The Paradigm Skinny Top Heavy Bottom strings provide the perfect combination of thickness and tone for rock and metal guitarists with their reinforced 0.010 to 0.052 gauge.

Unmatched Strength and Durability

Ernie Ball's state-of-the-art manufacturing process and patented Reinforced Plain String technology increase the Paradigm strings' tensile strength over traditional strings. Each string also receives a plasma treatment and Ernie Ball's patented Everlast coating, which prevents corrosion and buildup while maintaining the iconic Slinky tone.

Iconic Slinky Tone

While the Paradigm strings are designed to withstand aggressive playing styles, they do not sacrifice the legendary tone Ernie Ball is known for. The custom gauges provide a balanced tone that is ideal for rock and metal, with a tight low end, prominent mids, and cutting highs. The Paradigm Skinny Top Heavy Bottom set offers a familiar feel for shredding and soloing.

Worry-Free Performance

The Paradigm strings' unparalleled strength and durability provide peace of mind for guitarists, especially those who tour frequently or play in humid environments. If a string were to break or rust within 90 days of purchase, Ernie Ball will provide a free replacement set. The Paradigm strings allow guitarists to focus on their performance instead of string condition or breakage.

Premium Quality and Value

As with all Ernie Ball products, the Paradigm electric guitar strings are manufactured to the highest standards using only the finest materials. The cutting-edge technology and reinforced design provide maximum value, as guitarists will spend less time and money replacing broken or corroded strings. The Paradigm Skinny Top Heavy Bottom strings are ideal for rock and metal guitarists seeking a balance of tone, feel, and longevity.

  • These are now my favorite go-to strings, hands down.

I bought these strings a few months ago, after learning that Adam Jones uses these strings. Although I bought them because my favorite guitarist uses them, it's not just clout with these strings. These are some of the strongest strings I have ever used, and their tonal variability is unmatched. I run these on my Gibson LP Studio, and despite the fact that it's nearly bone-stock, it plays like a dream with these strings. I came back only because I will soon be buying more, and I wanted to report that after months of playing hard, the bottom string finally broke. It always does that to me for some reason, but that's nothing to do with the strings, I just play hard and stay on the heavy end. Love these strings and I'll never run D'Addario on my LP again. Also when it broke, it didn't whip me. The core breaks but the winding keeps it together which is cool.

#sweepstakes I know most people would just say "hey. They're strings." But I've been whipped in the face and hands by broken strings too many times to count after so many years of playing. It sucks, it can happen for no reason, and it causes way more anxiety than you can imagine. Strings that have a guarantee not to break are just nice, and I'm inclined to believe they are fairly indestructible after using them on all my guitars for the past year or so. 10 to 52 is also just a good all around, do everything set. Downtune to drop c, comfortably play in standard. You probably want to get something heavier if you're going any lower, or if you have a Gibson scale length. Or vice versa if you have a baritone. But this is just a good gauge for most applications.

I play not only pop punk, but also gospel music, and knowing that gospel music has a lot of lead guitar parts, I am more than likely to break a string, but all that change since I started using the strings. I use these on my Gibson Les Paul and my Squier by Fender 72 Telecaster thin line. I highly recommend these. As a matter fact, Chad Gilbert, from New Found Glory inspired me to use these strings and I'm not using anything else
